Spence has to adjust the way he fights if he is to stand a chance of an unlikely upset in the second bout.
They had 30 days to resign from fighting at 147 in a written statement neither made the statement in 30 days

If Crawford can still make 147, why give Spence any additional help. I have no interest in the fight at 147 or 154. Crawford is 36 this month, he just wants to move up for the big fight, every training camp and fight causes wear and tear.

💯 they calculated wrong. They thought Spence was the bigger and stronger than Crawford and Crawford would be worn down by Spence just being relentless. Except Spence was getting beat down more and more and wasn’t wearing down shit. They could have peeped that in the 4th (the 2nd really) and audible but doubled down on the game plan that wasn’t working….

It doesn't make sense for Crawford & Spence to fight at 154 right now. Neither has fought at 154 before, nor do they have belts there. So its just a fight with nothing at stake except bragging rights. At 147, on the other hand. Spence gets a CHANCE to become Undisputed at 147 again. He can then relenquish the belts, now that he's fought everyone at 147 & then move up to 154. The latter statement applies to Crawford as well.
