OMG! Wayne was such a good looking man. I still get teary eyed whenever I think about him dying at only thirty one years of age. Which means he was only twenty four or twenty five here. He was probably five or six years older than me. Which.means if he were alive today he would be either sixty two or sixty three. I can only imagine how handsome he would still be. 😪😭.
yes he died really young. I am watching this for the third time now, i watched it when it came out back in the 80s and looking at it now, it is hard to believe so many of the cast have passed away. It is a classic show

Mrs Powell just sends her daughter after her ordeal to Patrick's sisters house and goes to work. Erica tells her she's eligible to take leave and declines. This is the time she should be spending quality time with her daughter but decides to work instead. Not a great mother is she!
I really like this show, the ladies are always looking for ways to do things without anyone else knowing about it.brilliant acting, great cast, good storylines, amazing scenery of the country when they are filming outside of the prison.

Yet later in the show, well during the last two seasons of the show. The kitchen was a lot smaller and no windows. It was actually very cramped. But the kitchen in last few seasons is a totally different kitchen to the original kitchen 🤗😐
Yes, they were using an actual commercial kitchen, but there were problems with filming and sound quality. which is why it sounds tinny and echoy at times. They later moved to a studio kitchen.
I'm tired of Po Face and her nasty bitter ways. Before anyone replies with "but I would be too if that happened to my kid" Po face was nasty and bitter before that happened. And what's up with Margo's Rod Stewart hair do? Lol.

This Jackie looks like an alien and more to the point I wish they would make their mind up if fellow prisoners are allowed to ask each other what they're in for not.
How much longer are they going to keep crediting Judith McGrath as "Off. Powell", like she's some minor character or something? She's just been involved in a major storyline! Bit of a trivial gripe, I know. But since I first noticed it many episodes back, it's really starting to bug me...

I still blame Mel rather than Carol for the attack on Jenny. Carol was in no position to stop Doug but Mel could have done if he only had the guts! I guess Colleen is thinking irrationally though and laying the blame on Carol is her only way of getting some of her own back. Small consolation for such a terrifying ordeal though I'd say.......

People weren’t obsessed by youth in those days. The other thing is that people actually started working when they were much younger than today, and had a totally different outlook.
Carol Lewis was knocked out solid when her husband (Doug?) raped Colleen's daughter Jennifer. Could she really have anticipated he would do so? Perhaps. But she was his wife, not his jail keeper.
Carol didn't have control over the fact that Doug raped Jennifer. I get that. But the fact that Carol wanted to be with somebody like Doug in the first place doesn't exactly make her a good person. A good person wouldn't and couldn't see anything attractive about a scumbag like Doug - they would only be disgusted by the guy. Colleen sounding quite a bit like Vera. " those people are different they have a criminal mentality".
Poor Julie making all those typing mistakes, probably fantasising about Mr Faulkner.
Loved the look on Lizzie's face when she saw the boiler they're going to use for her home brew ! Hope they get to make it !
