After years apart, they actually moved in together and lived together afterwards. That's pretty easy to interpret platonically or romantically. It's true that not every paired ending is romantic, but there are specific pairings where it clearly can be read as both ways.
When Nico’s LP is over, I hope you make a video featuring the “And now back to Garreg Mach Monast...” segments. The sound effects he adds make it seem like he’s practically begging for an animation.
