We just got the Shikar so haven’t gotten to use them much as off right now the are very solid really light and have more foot room which is nice but it doesn’t have the attachment method like tethrd has but still very good stick
Omg they are incredibly light I went ahead and bought dad the gen 1 when the gen 2 was out of stock they are insanely nice I can’t wait to try them out this fall. If you have anything else for me to give a review on like the new phantom elite kit I’d love to give a review on it🤘🤘😂😉
The real question isn't if they're over hyped... It should be are they safe... Tethrd's safty record is awfiul... Tethrd 1 (Gen 1) chemical bonding failed and steps fell off the tube. Predator platform cracked and failed near tree bracket PRedator XL platform cracks near the level adjustment Tethrd 1 (Gen 2) steps snap in half Skeletor sticks have stand offs fail. In each and every instance the company has not handled the issues well. In some instanves even blaming the users (misuse) for the failures... Why are people still trusting their lives to equipment made by this company?
I get all the recalls and it definitely should not be happening it’s frustrating and disappointing but it’s the same reason ford Chevy dodge they have safety recalls and millions of people still drive those cars even the ones that have been recalled I think it’s much harder on there end testing every single stick to make sure each one passes and on a huge manufacturer stand point it’s almost impossible for them to get EVERY single stick that doesn’t make it, out of the bunch again it’s very frustrating but in my opinion I can see how/why it happens but in the future I hope they find a better system for testing a weeding out the bad ones
Some of the standoff issues with skeletors were due to user error. You have to pull the bottom away from the tree when you "cam" the stick in. If not, you are putting pressure on it in a way it's not designed for. I like their products, but I'm with you on the concern with all the recalls/issues. They've had a lot.
Loosen the bite on the pruisic knot on your bridge and the you'll be able to adjust the length better... make sure to tighten the bite, and dress it back down before putting full weight back onto your bridge... good hunting 👍
I love tethrd but the sticks just didn't hit the mark for me. Standoffs were to short and at the end of the step where it pokes in your boot sucks, not to mention that they don't bite the tree the way I liked. I bought some beast sticks and they were what I was looking for, not a more solid stick on the market. Still love my tethrd saddle and ropes, not to mention all they do for our community but they missed the mark with the sticks. Jmo
Hey I respect that man the standoffs are very short but really the beast sticks ain’t much better also I’ve been practice climbing for a couple weeks not all kinds of trees and have never had a problem with the bite of them the beast sticks are a very very solid stick and love the beast guys
@@thehuntingkure I'm sure they'll work fine for you. My biggest issue was prong at the end that poked in the bottom of my rubber boots. And I do like the little bigger standoffs on the beast sticks. I can be a moose going up the tree so a crazy good bite means the world to me lol

You didn't attach it to the tree correctly. You are supposed to wrap once around the button before doing the figure 8 deal.

@@mikeguy9668 tethrd gen 2 one sticks ar recalled as of today. The step can crack and break off causing a fall.
