The Barlow is beautiful. I love the color. It has to work for you or you won’t use it. I understand about feeling dressy. Both are great bag choices, but that Crocodile is to die for! I have the same one in the same color and love it. I am 5” 8”, and love how it hangs on me. I don’t dress up either, but she looks great with jeans and a sweater too! Enjoy your pebble leather beauty though, she is a looker too! I want to get a pebble leather Barlow zip tote!

I purchased this in denim and it’s stunning. I don’t see the blue but I see teal with some greens. I was going to send back but it’s so beautiful 😍 it’s like eye candy. It’s dressy and I think with jeans will be really nice. Thanks for the comparison.
This is a great review. I had considered the small Barlow recently because the small Brenna was no longer available. Glad I passed on it because I did have concern that it may be tall for me. I own multiple versions of Brenna/Barlow bags and the Small Brenna is currently my favorite. I have Wexford leather, but pebble leather on larger size. I don't reach for the larger sizes much anymore. BTW...The baked pastries look yummy. TFS

Great review Ilene! 👍 Both bags are beautiful but like you, I'm partial to the Brenna myself, especially in that Black/Black pebbled leather.😍 The Barlow is more of a N/S silhouette whereas the Brenna is more E/W. When you're petite, you really have to be mindful about N/S bags because they might overwhelm your body frame. I guess that's why I prefer E/W bags since I tend to wear more crossbodies too. The Barlow is a beautiful bag and I have to say the leather looks scrumptious but it's too polished for my lifestyle.😁 I really enjoy your thoughts on why you're returning it, but also your review might be helpful to others that have considered buying this bag. That cake looked sooooo good!!!🤤 I would eat the crumbs too, lol!😂 I wouldn't mind seeing a baking or cooking video myself so when you're ready I'll be watching. I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving. Hi my dear friend...Thank you! Hubby loves cakes. I rarely eat cake but I make it for him. I love streusel. I also love frosting and whipped cream. I try not to taste it because once I do I am helpless. The Blueberry Buckle recipe is from King Arthur Flour's baking book. The recipes are good but they do not explain the technique-which is very important. I try to apply Rose Levy Beranbaum's technique. She has a YT channel. The leather on the Croco looked so amazing. It was hard to let it go. The Brenna is perfect for my size. I never feel the weight no matter what I put inside. Actually, the Brenna doesn't hold a lot. But I don't carry a lot so it works for me. I still get confused as to what I put in which pocket. I always explain "I'm 70"-- I use that excuse a lot 😂 I will definitely do a video on the cake. I have the Alexa clutch in croc embossed and I also don't use it, is brand new, but o missed the return date; I say you are doing the right thing by returning if you don't absolutely love it, is not a keeper

Hi Elena...I am sorry there are no Dooney stores in Germany. Dooney bags are exceptional high quality. I had a Florentine Small Satchel. It was a little too heavy for me. I sold it and just bought the Florentine Mini Satchel and the Florentine Micro satchel. Florentine is a heavier leather. It is similar to saddle quality. I hope you are able to find it. Hi my friend..Thank you! I am so glad you bought this bag! It is really a great bag! The strap is black and seems to be less likely to become limp than the other Dooney straps. It has a double strap holder so there are no ends curling up. Perfect size. No matter how much I carry it does not seem heavy to me. I have been caught in the rain and feel it is weather proof. Plus, it looks sharp. I saved all the packing and use it to stuff the bag when I am not carrying it. It is one of my best Dooney purchases. Thank you for letting me know. I hope you love it! Hi, dear! I was wondering if you kept the small Barlow in lizard embossed? I saw that video you made years ago. I am trying to figure out if I would like the small brenna or the small Barlow better... I love my mini Barlow and bought the large Barlow from the November sell think I will used a lot but I haven't... don't get me wrong is the perfect size bag for when I have to take my kids to their outdoor/sports activities but is too big for daily use... I am concern about how tall the small Barlow is but like to have smooth leather from dooney... the small brenna bottom leather bumpers makes the bag too sporty ( looking for all around looks) but I also trying to add some color to my collection ( too many blacks and Tmoro brown ) so I am considering bubble gum on the small Barlow and red on the small brenna....S.O.S.. desperate help need it here😅 I hope you are having a good week💞 Ps: I am petite 5'3 and 150lb.
Hi..I did have the Small Barlow in Lizard and returned it. At the time I was looking at it as a crossbody. More currently, the Croco Small Barlow was to be a short shoulder. I am 5'1-1/2"..I the Small Barlow measures 9-1/2 inches long which is too long for me. The Small Brenna is 7-1/2 inches inches long and is the perfect height for my frame. Both are great bag choices, but that Crocodile is to die for! I have the same one in the same color and love it. I am 5” 8”, and love how it hangs on me. I don’t dress up either, but she looks great with jeans and a sweater too! Enjoy your pebble leather beauty though, she is a looker too! I want to get a pebble leather Barlow zip tote!

I purchased this in denim and it’s stunning. I don’t see the blue but I see teal with some greens. I was going to send back but it’s so beautiful 😍 it’s like eye candy. It’s dressy and I think with jeans will be really nice. Thanks for the comparison.

This is a great review. I had considered the small Barlow recently because the small Brenna was no longer available. Glad I passed on it because I did have concern that it may be tall for me. I own multiple versions of Brenna/Barlow bags and the Small Brenna is currently my favorite. I have Wexford leather, but pebble leather on larger size. I don't reach for the larger sizes much anymore. BTW...The baked pastries look yummy. TFS

Great review Ilene! 👍 Both bags are beautiful but like you, I'm partial to the Brenna myself, especially in that Black/Black pebbled leather.😍 The Barlow is more of a N/S silhouette whereas the Brenna is more E/W. When you're petite, you really have to be mindful about N/S bags because they might overwhelm your body frame. I guess that's why I prefer E/W bags since I tend to wear more crossbodies too. The Barlow is a beautiful bag and I have to say the leather looks scrumptious but it's too polished for my lifestyle.😁 I really enjoy your thoughts on why you're returning it, but also your review might be helpful to others that have considered buying this bag. That cake looked sooooo good!!!🤤 I would eat the crumbs too, lol!😂 I wouldn't mind seeing a baking or cooking video myself so when you're ready I'll be watching. I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving. Hi my dear friend...Thank you! Hubby loves cakes. I rarely eat cake but I make it for him. I love streusel. I also love frosting and whipped cream. I try not to taste it because once I do I am helpless. The Blueberry Buckle recipe is from King Arthur Flour's baking book. The recipes are good but they do not explain the technique-which is very important. I try to apply Rose Levy Beranbaum's technique. She has a YT channel. The leather on the Croco looked so amazing. It was hard to let it go. The Brenna is perfect for my size. I never feel the weight no matter what I put inside. Actually, the Brenna doesn't hold a lot. But I don't carry a lot so it works for me. I still get confused as to what I put in which pocket. I always explain "I'm 70"-- I use that excuse a lot 😂 I will definitely do a video on the cake. I especially like Florentine Satchels with the tassels on the sides. Do you have one? Which size do you think is best for an everyday bag?
Hi Elena...I am sorry there are no Dooney stores in Germany. Dooney bags are exceptional high quality. I had a Florentine Small Satchel. It was a little too heavy for me. I sold it and just bought the Florentine Mini Satchel and the Florentine Micro satchel. Florentine is a heavier leather. It is similar to saddle quality. I hope you are able to find it. Hi my friend..Thank you! I am so glad you bought this bag! It is really a great bag! The strap is black and seems to be less likely to become limp than the other Dooney straps. It has a double strap holder so there are no ends curling up. Perfect size. No matter how much I carry it does not seem heavy to me. I have been caught in the rain and feel it is weather proof. Plus, it looks sharp. I saved all the packing and use it to stuff the bag when I am not carrying it. It is one of my best Dooney purchases. Thank you for letting me know. I hope you love it! Hi, dear! I was wondering if you kept the small Barlow in lizard embossed? I saw that video you made years ago. I am trying to figure out if I would like the small brenna or the small Barlow better... I love my mini Barlow and bought the large Barlow from the November sell think I will used a lot but I haven't... don't get me wrong is the perfect size bag for when I have to take my kids to their outdoor/sports activities but is too big for daily use... I am concern about how tall the small Barlow is but like to have smooth leather from dooney... the small brenna bottom leather bumpers makes the bag too sporty ( looking for all around looks) but I also trying to add some color to my collection ( too many blacks and Tmoro brown ) so I am considering bubble gum on the small Barlow and red on the small brenna....S.O.S.. desperate help need it here😅

Hi..I did have the Small Barlow in Lizard and returned it. At the time I was looking at it as a crossbody. More currently, the Croco Small Barlow was to be a short shoulder. I am 5'1-1/2"..I the Small Barlow measures 9-1/2 inches long which is too long for me. The Small Brenna is 7-1/2 inches inches long and is the perfect height for my frame.
