i have 2 theories/thoughts: 1. butler somehow got teleported to a different place or even dimension than the place we get teleported to when we enter, so that’s why we just never see him again after entering the haunted manor. 2. butler actually wanted us to go into the haunted manor to distract us, which is why he made himself look really suspicious when going over there. and the 2 wooden doors are the only thing that doesn’t change between the 2 dimensions besides the portal, so i believe they’re a second portal across the 2 dimensions, which butler used to get back to the normal manor, and went into the basement. the second one is a big stretch, but how else would butler just *_vanish_* after going through the portal? and what could be the “creepy noises” coming from the basement? (the normal basement in the normal manor that’s locked behind metal bars btw, not the haunted one).
Slasher is based off of Jason vorhees, in the 6th or 7th movie (I forgor which one) called “Jason lives” Jason resurrects as a zombie. Since slasher is inspired by Jason and the butler is a zombie it’d make sense
Theres also a good theory i've made to continue this though. The only guardians of the swords we've encountered so far are Thaniyel and Slasher, Thaniyel holds a large community because he's the mayor but still has to guard the venomshank. Slasher on the other hand lives in telamon's manor, but since he's made it a tourist spot, he's forced to disguise as a butler to ensure the safety of the community alongside monitoring the real world's dimension incase of any intruders. Since he's a zombie, It works well with the Butler disguise.
There was also a scrapped cutscene idea where the butler would fly off and ascend to the sky, kind of like how jason ascended back into his coffin thingy. But I’m not sure if it’s real though.

Idk, the devs said recently they're finishing the pre-prologue (before waking up on Terry's bed). Apparently it'll be set on modern Roblox and will have an actual tutorial for battles
My theory for the butler being the slasher is that notice the butler is the only person who works there and is the only person who make sure the mansion is ok and he's also in denial that the ghost walker isn't real despite shedletsky telling us its there and this could add up with him being the slasher because he knows we are after the ghost walker so he wants to try and stop us
