This is my favorite design by far, when loaded with baby powder, hot peppers and some sand for dispersion you can make a hell of a pepper spray cloud! Mad props!
Once summer starts I'll be posting more often. I fount a much easier and more powerful alternative for making this. I'm going to stop posting prototype videos because people have stolen my ideas, and it really frustrated me when the tazer sword went viral off of my original design.
Thanks Joseph. I don't think I use fancy stuff. The Innovations Ultraflate Plus, (IUP) is really the only fancy stuff. Nobody said you have to build it exacly like mine. You can shoot airsoft BB's or q-tip darts out of a pen tube barrel. Make it however you want.
Honestly it still works fine, I wanted it to have an easy breach system so I could have semi auto firing but its really difficult to have a system like that and still have it compact on a wrist mount. I also couldn't find a good enough arm mount for the dart gun.
TheLongestNameOnUA-camBecauseItsFunnyToHaveItAndYouJustGiggledOrLaughed I actually made a similar one long before I saw this video. My air tank is much larger. Made from an aluminum water bottle. Bike tire stem glue into it to pump it up with a bike tire pump. Trigger is an air compressor handle picked up from Harbor Freight - $4. I can get about 6 shots out of the tank before I have to pump it up again. Wish I could post a pic.
You want the copper barrel to be as long as the PVC barrel. Longer barrels make it more accurate when firing but whatever you have will work essentially.
you need to use a longer tube with a smaller diameter it would close the gap between the dart and the tube. giving you more propulsion, and the longer tube would give you better accuracy. if you want it to stay concealable make it about half the length of your forearm.
if you use a smaller diameter pipe for the barrel you can get a tighter fit on the darts to get more power, i recommend using a pencil to act as a ramrod
@kartoonkid101 Sometimes I use the prototype to make something new. I'm busy with college now but I try my best to put something up when I'm home for the holidays. I'll probably put something new up for Spring break, I'll try to finish this because its really cool and a lot of people seem interested in it.
If the darts fit inside the tube more snugly, and if the tube were longer, you would get better muzzle velocity. Don't be Spiderman; fit the device on the back of your arm. It will be easier to keep your hand out of the way. You're the kind of kid that's so smart that his parents have to worry about him. I'm most impressed!
If the darts were airtight in the chamber, the pressure would building, creating an even more powerful rig. Other than that, this is a good build. I had something drawn like this, but didn't have the mechanism aka the bike pump, to build it. Nice job. If you want a more streamline build, you can detach the bike pump from the nozzle, and have it attached all the way to the upper arm and what.
You're talking about nighthawkinlight I believe. He has good videos but that takes a lot of time to document everything and edit the footage. He admits it too, its a long process to make a video unless you have a team helping you, ie (most bigtime UA-camrs) I don't have the time right now. I'm sorry. This is a pretty simple build, don't worry about all the fancy stuff. You just need a tube to connect the CO2 pump to the barrel and thats basically it. Don't be afraid to try your own thing.
for functionality, I would mount the barrel and gas canister on a strap opposite each other so that the gas canister is on the palm side of your arm for firing and the barrel is on top of your forearm. So when you fire you can bend your hand downward to reach the trigger, thus protecting your hand from possible impalement!! Then to help hide the device wear a 60s-70s leather jacket with tassels to hide it.
1.may some balistic gel to find out the damage. 2. may a cap for the barrel so the darts wont fall out if it is loaded(optional: hook the cap up to the safety)
You should create a secondary chamber. Then the secondary chamber would emptied via a battery powered electronic solenoid. Think paintball applications. it would fire a metered amount of air every time. This would help in efficiency and also consistency.
1. you'd probably get about 20% more power/air flow by removing the valve out of the tire stem. 2. consider using steel fishing leader as a trigger wire... a clip on one end to attack on a ring you'd be wearing on your hand.. as your hand flexes back, pulling the wire, pulling the trigger. 3. consider getting a cheap pellet gun pistol or paint ball gun. and robbing the trigger mechanism from it.. it would solve the air on/off issue and give a faster, smoother burst.
@GreekGadgetGuru Also, you could mount it to your wrist with zipties or something of the sort attatched to wristbands. Or leather buckles/a cut off leather belt. There's a number of ways i can think of.
I don't know if this will help accuracy but if you make the rubber ends of the spikes bigger so they have a more air-tight seal they dart will go farther.
Lots of responses, so I don't know if this has been said yet or not. Your barrel diameter is too large, or your cup on your darts is too small. Power and accuracy will be greatly increased if you have a barrel slightly smaller than the largest point of the flare on your darts.
@stigmatic79 what you could also do is either modify it or make a new one, and have it shoot air soft pellets, instead of darts, so u can have like 2 pistols, and a ‘’hidden’’ surprise for them if you need it
i was thinking about what you said about shooting your hand, you could probably rig up a couple of pulleys similar 2 hidden blade ones with a ring except so that it triggers the safety when your hand if in front of the barrel except instead of the other way around
@kgyll With using air, you have a smaller chance of it misfiring because you need to press the release with substantial weight. With a spring, if it's been use many times, the locking mechanism before it shoots out might be weak and can misfire.
@GreekGadgetGuru Ive got a question and Id be really glad if you could maybe answer it. I am planning on building my own air rifle. I just dont know which caliber to make it in. My question: May you maybe try to shoot marbles or steel balls with this pump to demonstrate what its able to do. Or just tell me what the results were? Would be great! Your fan Jonas
Very good work! i'd try finding a way to minimize the volume of the barrel or make the connection cord curve in the same plane. Other than that, good job!
i replicated your dart gun, however i noticed they dont produce enough air presure to shoot, i made mine to shoot anything that fits down the barrel, but yeah, theres no easy way to prevent the darts or items from falling out of the barrel as well. i was thinking of adding an O-ring somewhere alighned with the copper tubing to help hold the dart, and build pressure as well if you have any ideas or suggestions, just reply and mybe we could come up with better ideas. thank you.
i'm thinking of the taxidriver slider so it goes into your hand for this so at least you can use the same hand to fire it with and possibly have a spring loader with a click type divider so that you can have it loaded with several rounds.
@thecommenter87 If the projectile is air tight in the barrel of the weapon, the force needed to shoot it out would be more because it is air tight therefore making the projectile launch at a higher speed. It's the same concept with a potato cannon/spud cannon.
may i ask, where did you get the needle-like darts? i would like to know more about those darts, like what it's made of..? it fascinates me LoL thanks. :D
love your work brother, great craftsmanship! will be attempting this project shortly and so was hoping that you could message me a list of materials needed for this project cheers. GreekGadgetGuru
With the piston for sure, because you build up pressure and then release it all at once. But its less reliable as the seal my wear over time and its a bit more challenging to make. look up QEV (Quick Escape Valve)
This is my favorite design by far, when loaded with baby powder, hot peppers and some sand for dispersion you can make a hell of a pepper spray cloud! Mad props!

dang imagine what you could do with a 3D printer now lol
Thanks Joseph. I don't think I use fancy stuff. The Innovations Ultraflate Plus, (IUP) is really the only fancy stuff. Nobody said you have to build it exacly like mine. You can shoot airsoft BB's or q-tip darts out of a pen tube barrel. Make it however you want.
I like to think that this guy goes around stealing trash from the neighborhood and makes awesome stuff like this out of it
The trash inventor?
Dont say that he takes the trash otherwise the world media will exaggerate what he is doing and make it sound like he is an evil terrorist.
@@d4rkhound388 lol what propaganda were u on 7 years ago
Dude is really on some iron Man shit Tony Stark builders in a cave with a box of scraps
Honestly it still works fine, I wanted it to have an easy breach system so I could have semi auto firing but its really difficult to have a system like that and still have it compact on a wrist mount. I also couldn't find a good enough arm mount for the dart gun.
How many people are actually Ganna build this?
TheLongestNameOnUA-camBecauseItsFunnyToHaveItAndYouJustGiggledOrLaughed I actually made a similar one long before I saw this video. My air tank is much larger. Made from an aluminum water bottle. No, those small co2s are single use so you have to swap them when they run out. I'm looking into getting a small refillable co2.
what size copper tube is it. please answer, anyone?
Alf Powell I'm guessing 1/4 inch. You could make it any size you want, just make sure you get the same size darts.
You want the copper barrel to be as long as the PVC barrel. Longer barrels make it more accurate when firing but whatever you have will work essentially.
This is perhaps the best design for the dart gun I've seen so far!
Comes in a pack for ball pump. Look on dealextreme they have pumps with the tubing for like 4 dollars with free shipping.
you need to use a longer tube with a smaller diameter it would close the gap between the dart and the tube. giving you more propulsion, and the longer tube would give you better accuracy. if you want it to stay concealable make it about half the length of your forearm.
@youngestkid Look in the description sir
if you use a smaller diameter pipe for the barrel you can get a tighter fit on the darts to get more power, i recommend using a pencil to act as a ramrod
So simple, yet genius. Thank you.
anyway good luck on becoming a bigtime UA-camr cant wait to see some step by step tutorial videos from you when you get the time ...

What are you talking about. I bought the CO2 bike pump as is. This is basically just a wrist blow gun.
You're talking about nighthawkinlight I believe. He has good videos but that takes a lot of time to document everything and edit the footage. He admits it too, its a long process to make a video unless you have a team helping you, ie (most bigtime UA-camrs) I don't have the time right now. I'm sorry. Pretty freaking sweet man good job
This looks like just about the perfect setup I had in mind for mod a nerf gun thx for the bike pump idea
Still Pretty Smart, I Like What You Have Here.
It does, its an upgrade to the hidden gun and blade...poison darts
1.may some balistic gel to find out the damage. 2. may a cap for the barrel so the darts wont fall out if it is loaded(optional: hook the cap up to the safety)
Do you balance your darts?
There is an easy process to do this.
and your darts will fly straighter and with more power.
You should create a secondary chamber.
Then the secondary chamber would emptied via a battery powered electronic solenoid. Think paintball applications.
it would fire a metered amount of air every time. This would help in efficiency and also consistency.
6:59 That thing actually sounds pretty cool.
Comes with a ball pump only. Look on deal extreme. I think they have kits with them for like $4
dude, you're awesome! And it'd even better if you showed us a video with you doing that.
Grats on 1 million views!
@GreekGadgetGuru dude you're actually awesome.
For the brace and buy an arm guard at bass pro and make it a couple sizes to big to fit the gun under the string that keep the guard on your wrist
1. you'd probably get about 20% more power/air flow by removing the valve out of the tire stem.
2. consider using steel fishing leader as a trigger wire... a clip on one end to attack on a ring you'd be wearing on your hand.. as your hand flexes back, pulling the wire, pulling the trigger.

at 80 degrees a 12 gram co2 cartridge is about 1000 psi. When the seal is breached, it drops to 90 to 150 psi.
I'm genuinely impressed.
Surprisingly innovative.
@GreekGadgetGuru Also, you could mount it to your wrist with zipties or something of the sort attatched to wristbands. Or leather buckles/a cut off leather belt. There's a number of ways i can think of.
If you use a longer barrel you will drasticly increase the power ,but loose the assasin effect of course . nice design :)
well done man, cool hobby, keep up the good work, stay safe...
Thats pretty sweet, great job.
Your a boss I always try to make what you make and they turn out awesome !!!!
I don't know if this will help accuracy but if you make the rubber ends of the spikes bigger so they have a more air-tight seal they dart will go farther.
If you were going to have it concealed, you might want to see if you could line up the CO2 cartridge and the barrel so it's not as wide.
Crazy!! Don't always rely on the safty to keep your hands/other bodly parts safe.
You have very good ideas keep going i want to see more gadgets
Good job. I'm gonna build this myself and set 2 on my robot.
You are a very innovative person.
Good idea, but easier said than done
Around $25. The CO2 Bike pump was $20.
Lots of responses, so I don't know if this has been said yet or not.
Your barrel diameter is too large, or your cup on your darts is too small. Power and accuracy will be greatly increased if you have a barrel slightly smaller than the largest point of the flare on your darts.
also you might want to make it so flicking your hand back will turn off the safety and a little lever to making firing more discrete
man that wazz 1 hell of a power .u said in ur wall !! ..now i really wanna make 1
@jeffrielly How do you know?
@stigmatic79 what you could also do is either modify it or make a new one, and have it shoot air soft pellets, instead of darts, so u can have like 2 pistols, and a ‘’hidden’’ surprise for them if you need it
this guy is destroying his walls and doors with his inventions
Oh I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were an expert on the subject.
the exiting way to hang up pictures!
you are my new god !!! man, you're the best !!!
I used to tell arrow stories like you then i took a pencil to the knee now im writing pencil stories WITH A PEN
What exactly is that part at the top of the CO2 canister called? The part that I'm assuming has the trigger on it.
Im trying to make web shooter well it will shot mini grappling hooks do u recommend the same method, great vid btw i just subed lol
6:59 for the shots , you're welcome
nice stuff by the way
i was thinking about what you said about shooting your hand, you could probably rig up a couple of pulleys similar 2 hidden blade ones with a ring except so that it triggers the safety when your hand if in front of the barrel except instead of the other way around
freaking awesome dude

Thank yah!
Very good work! i'd try finding a way to minimize the volume of the barrel or make the connection cord curve in the same plane. Other than that, good job!
Very good.you are very creative, coll dude.keep it up.
You sir are a genius.
Thanks. I never thought this one would have went viral! haha
very cool, but maybe your next modification should ensure a snug fit-up of barrel and dart.
UA-cam guidelines doesn't allow it. They've taken my videos down before, and I can't afford any more strikes.
Awesome stuff dude, that could damage some1 really badly if missed used.
Pro!!!!! this is really amazing
i replicated your dart gun, however i noticed they dont produce enough air presure to shoot, i made mine to shoot anything that fits down the barrel, but yeah, theres no easy way to prevent the darts or items from falling out of the barrel as well. i was thinking of adding an O-ring somewhere alighned with the copper tubing to help hold the dart, and build pressure as well if you have any ideas or suggestions, just reply and mybe we could come up with better ideas. thank you.
Try a further distance for the shotgun
so the can get a little bit stable
but nice idea
Dude you're awesome.
i'm thinking of the taxidriver slider so it goes into your hand for this so at least you can use the same hand to fire it with and possibly have a spring loader with a click type divider so that you can have it loaded with several rounds.

It's the same concept with a potato cannon/spud cannon.
yo this is bad ass i went to make it and it works great...and the thin longer needles do go farther
You and Kipkay could take over the world
may i ask, where did you get the needle-like darts? i would like to know more about those darts, like what it's made of..? it fascinates me LoL thanks. :D
Hey great design. I want to make one with a really small barrel(3mm) to shoot metal balls with. Is that possible or do i need extra components?
I am particularly worried about making a good seal.
i like ur style function over looks
i flinched at 2:28 when he pointed it at the camera :P
I'm looking to make a dart gun of my own and i wanted to know what type of darts you are using, also where to get them. Thank you.
@GreekGadgetGuru This..
Is badass.
@blue0blaze THANK YOU!
I like the sound if you launch it :D
love your work brother, great craftsmanship! will be attempting this project shortly and so was hoping that you could message me a list of materials needed for this project cheers. GreekGadgetGuru
here is a tip use bb's for the shotgun
please upload more videos of this fun prop
depends what you want to shoot out of it
you should make a hinge that pulls the safety on and off depending on wrist movement
+GreekGadgetGuru - i have a question. Which would be stronger, a similar gun but with an air chamber and piston, or the way u made it above?
With the piston for sure, because you build up pressure and then release it all at once. But its less reliable as the seal my wear over time and its a bit more challenging to make. look up QEV (Quick Escape Valve)
+GreekGadgetGuru - thanks for the response and info! much appreciated!
Did the pump come with that extension tubing or did you get it? I can't seem to find it. What is it called exactly?
