What if I don't use any resistance(connect it with just a wire) for common cathode connection? Will it damage the 7-segment?
Yes, the possibility of 7 Segment Display damage remains.
@@its015another question. It might sound silly but is there have specific pin diagram for the 50K preset? I mean which side is 1,2,3?
No, there is no specific Pin Diagram.
Middle pin of Preset is Adjustable pin.

1/What if I don't use the preset? Isn't it just speed up?
2/Why you didn't use any logic gates?(i.e. AND, OR)
If you don't want to use Preset then you will use approx 4.7 Kilo Ohm resistor instead of Preset.
I used logic AND gate in this video.
In this circuit, three 1n4007 diodes and one 100K Resistor work as AND gates.

If you want to Count 00 to 99 then no ned to use any AND Gate.
Bro i have used a simple switch so it becomes a counter if i use a self lock switch will it run automatically
Plus it is going to 99 instead of 60 but the number of 1 7 segment cathode is not displaying properly

Check your self lock switch with the continuity mode of the multimeter. And check the seat of 1n4007 diode

yes, If you use a push switch, it will act like a counter.
How many volts battery to use
Personally I used a 5V and 2 Amp Adapter.
