- The Vennbahn reminds us that borders can be stranger than we realize. A strip of 15 meters wide that belongs to Belgium that for kilometers and kilometers infiltrates Germany.
The result: five German enclaves surrounded by Belgian lands. The smallest is a house with a garden: to leave their home, people must cross an international border.
