I have been experimenting with this concept for the first time with weddings. Really different approach for me but I am starting to get it down better.
For this video, it was f/8. It would really depend on what I'm doing, but I would also go as low as possible. I like the pop. I'd love to get to a place where I can come focus down to wide open haha.
Ha! You’re in my hood. HB pier is my go to spot. I think I might’ve been there that day, I’m surprised we didn’t bump into each other. California piers are great places to find a wide range of interesting subjects from fisherman to tourists to vintage binoculars, under constantly changing lighting conditions. Great vid, but bro, “My beach, my wave, go home“. 🏄♀️ 😂❤
Thanks Dave! Perfect Sunday vibes video
Best music for this type of content as well?!?!?
Thanks!
Fantastic video Dave! Aside from your magnificent photos, your music selection for your videos are epic. You kill it every time.
Thanks so much! Trying to keep it fun 💪🏼

I'm still mostly horrible at it.
Great work as usual Save! Curious to know when you choose to zone focus what’s your go to aperture?

I’m def a from the hip shooter when I’m photographing people hit or miss just minding my settings and be intentional as I can
I'm trying to get better at it, but unless it's a 28mm @ infinity, I suck haha.
@@davidherring oh def I use the 35 and it’s usually somewhere at f11 or 16 at 500

Love your videos! Let's go take photos together! :)
Thanks! Hit me up!
In my opinion zone focus is ok on film but on digital you better shorten your zone atleast one stop.
Say what?
@@mistermadsen For example at f8 on digital i think acceptable sharpness is between 5,6-5,6
