“The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again.
But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.
Don’t rejoice when your enemies fall;
don’t be happy when they stumble.
For the Lord will be displeased with you
and will turn his anger away from them.
Don’t fret because of evildoers;
don’t envy the wicked.”
Proverbs 24: 16-19 NLT
Now that is the easiest DCC ready install I’ve ever seen.. wow
Almost all of the BLI locomotives I have run flawlessly. One needs some work I just haven't had time to mess around with it. Very cool to see them offering DCC Ready units that are so easy to convert. N scale is finally making some strides to catch up to what H.O. scalers have been enjoying for years.
I love my BLI sound locomotives. They run perfect without hesitation.
Nice to see speakers included with DCC ready locomotives. Makes an upgrade to sound MUCH easier! The current Atlas Master Silver line in N & HO also have speakers installed for DCC ready locomotives. I have BLI Santa Fe A/B units and they run great!
I own a broadway limited import. It’s a t1 duplex. I love it. I run it conveniently not on dcc, but it’s still a lot of fun!
I’ve never had any issues with BLI power and the problems I did have they resolved pretty quick. Bulk of my motive power is BLI and I own a lot of power.👍😀OperateOnOperator
I have a t1 duplex that i sent to get work done twice and it was free because of a factory defect
They’re all really nice and amazing and will continue to have my business for a long time!!
They look fantastic.
Very nice conversation, Jimmy. You may want to check the setting for the headlight on the A unit, as it appears to be flashing (Gyralight?).
Also, years ago, when Broadway Limited was a new company, they offered their locomotives in two series, Paragon, which came with factory installed QSI sound decoders, and Stealth, which were DCC ready (no speakers either). I'm glad to see that BLI has realized that not everyone wants their Paragon4 decoders (I've had issues with Paragon3 and Paragon4 in both their HO and N scale engines).
Yeah I have it set for Mars Light but now that I think about it, I don't believe NYC used the Mars Light. It's a quick change.
Thanks for sharing. Love the shop in Spencer.
Just want to mention,if you've never been to Spencer and find yourself at Choo Choo, give yourself a few extra hours to take in the transportation museum across the street.
I’m a big fan of the New York Central F units too. Nice video!
Those are some awesome sounds coming out of such a tiny piece!
Thanks Jimmy. Good information and as always your enthusiasm shines through.
Another enjoyable video Jimmy! Keep up the good work. I agree, the Little Choo Choo Shop is great.
Lots of trains in all scales and scenery too. The guys are very friendly and helpful. Oh, did I mention
they are right across from the NC Transportation Museum? Wonderful place to visit with lots of exhibits
to see. Just waiting for 611 to make her return there. Have a Cheerwine during your next Coffee and Trains😁
I didn’t even mention the museum and we’re members haha!
The soundtrack alone was worth the watch.
Jimmy I’m fur-miler with the Little Cho Cho shop I’m about 2hrs east up interstate 85. I’ve talked to them over the phone and ordered a few things. They are nice and helpful. I’m not sure about getting those units. Have not had good luck with BLI . I would like to have the Southern units. Just waiting to see a few more reviews. Thanks for sharing. Have a good week. 😎😎👍
The sound was really good on that unit. I could even install a board in that one and thats saying alot because not good at that kind of stuff the coding for sound would have to be done by the guy at the hobby shop I go to. I am not good at that part. Thanks for sharing this with us.
GOD BLESS 🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖
Really appreciate your videos Jimmy
I see you have the new northampton and bath boxcars from bli. thanks
Excellent running loco
Thanks Jimmy! I love the F and E(?) units with this sleek look and wish we had more to choose from, not that these aren’t good. I just picked up a BLI Alco RS15(?) that I like very much.
Is the endurance test just something you do for yourself? I don’t think I can do that myself lol.
Also, my grandpa retired from Penn Central and spent a fair amount of time with New York Central, so perhaps sometime I’ll model them instead of PC, but we’ll see.
Man those f units are always hard to spot in the wild.
Gangway connectors are cool, IF they touched one another. But I noticed there was a gap between when going around a curve. Maybe with different trucks?
You should try Chucks Trains but is a bit far from Spencer all the way in Landis
I love that store too! Great railfanning location as well!
Some Japanese trains by kato have the movable gangways. They also act as the couplers. I think most of the shinkansens have this.
Jimmy, I have used JMRI DecoderPro with some success, (although I still have to use my Sprog as the interface) but I often find that DecoderPro can't figure out which decoder is connected to my system. I understand that there is a big XML file that contains all the decoder definitions - is that file linked to the DecoderPro releases? Or can it be updated separately? Where can I find the latest version of the decoder database? JMRI has a huge amount of info online, but where should a user go for support?
Great video, I might have missed it but does BLI ship these with a speaker installed?
Yes! That’s the great part. No speaker install.
@@DIYDigitalRailroad That’s awesome, definitely will be trying out one of these stealth models. Thank you for the reply.
How is the HO LAYOUT coming?
Your video makes me wonder if I should run passenger rail, as you’ve done a great job and (as always) you are great when it comes to encouraging those of us with less experience. Changing the subject … do you know of anyone with experience installing Tortoise (or other brand) switch motors on top of the layout as my layout is > 4” of foam XPS? Thanks!
There are switch motors that are small and can mount on the top
Of the layout. They can be hidden buried in the foam through a brass tube then covered with a building or something. One brand is MTB I think out of the UK but I am sure there are others. I have 3” foam. I mounted my cobalt IP digitals the traditional way under the table. But I bought larger diameter sprung steel throw wires and it works great. I also needed to use a larger hole and screw on the fulcrum to hold the larger diameter wire. Warning buying spring steel wire from Amazon /China often is not as rigid. Best to experiment with various diameters. Also I am
An N scaler so the throw distance is not as much.
What is the second unit behind the main engine it self
Can you buy non-sound next18 decoders in North America? I haven’t been able to find any.
Yes! NCE makes the one I put in the B unit and it is non sound
@@DIYDigitalRailroad okay, good to know! Are they compatible with HO equipment? (The reason I want one is I have some British locomotives and lots of Ho/OO British locos use next18 decoders)
What about ho we get left out??
Don’t worry! Broadway limited has had Stealth in HO for awhile and I believe they use 21-pin decoders.
@@DIYDigitalRailroad
Thanks for the reply
Please change the poppit valve to the other value 😂
i thought that the b units were non powered
The Paragon 4 versions are. The stealth version has A and B units you can buy separately
