You should balance the blade before you re-install the blade on the lawnmower because if you don't make sure the blade is balanced it could damage the bearings or shaft with the high speed the mower blade turns at. You also will get a lot of vibration from an out of balance blade. You can simply hammer a nail into the end of a small piece of wood and secure it level in a vise with the nail facing horizontally outward. Hang the blade on the nail to see which end dips and this would be the heavier end. You need to take more material of the heavier end and recheck it on the balance point (the nail). Repeat checking until the blade stays level on the balance point. Once the blade stays level on the nail (i.e. both sides of the blade are equal in weight), the blade is balanced and can be re-installed on the mower. Thanks for the video.

Hey Dave, thank you for your question. I honestly did not pay attention to the balance and good thing that you mentioned it, I’ll have to check it. As far as it buckling, I haven’t had any issues. Thanks again for your comment 🤙🏻
Hey Billy, I actually have one but I never opened the box lol. I don’t think that you’ll have an issue with it. Keep it on a high speed and don’t use to much force and you should be good to go.
My only question is why didn't you use the adapter that is made for doing exactly this? Dremel "ROTORY TOOL SHARPENING KIT FOR OUTDOOR LAWN TOOLS". It would set you up to grind at the correct angle
Finally someone smart enough to use a mask when grinding . I have watched like 6 videos and no one was wearing a dust mask .Crescent wrench aka knuckle buster .

Don’t forget to clean off all the lawn crud before you balance the blade!

Aw might give this a go with my old lawn mower. I brought it secondhand and I’ve had it 5yrs so I bet the blade is pretty rusty under there 😊
