Great video, I paid 8 bucks for trim tools and did it myself. On the 2016 front doors, there is a retention strap on the outboard top corner, gives enough slack to keep the panel on without stressing the wires. Also, the speakers are now held in by T25 torx screws. Once you figure out how to pop off the panels, the entire job is under 20 minutes per door, not counting beer breaks. Sound is fantastic!
Just wanted to say thanks for this video. I (stupidly) dropped something between the window and the door and it fell to the bottom of the door, but I was able to fish it out by popping off the door panel. My next project will be to replace my failed door handle on the rear door. Hoping that goes just a smoothly! :)
@@AngelCruz-st9jp you can buy them here: www.lightharmonic.com/shop and use a Coupon code from one of our partners on UA-cam for a better price. Vagabond Builds channel is one of them.
Actually once the speaker grill is out take you right hand, grab the upper lip of the speaker inset and the left hand grab the hand hold and firmly and evenly give it a solid yank. the panel will come off cleanly
What about the tweet housing? I'm thinking of getting a pair of Focal PS 165FX and they come with a crossover unit and tweeters. How do I get to them and suggestions on where to put it? I know it's a competitor brand but I gave it a shot anyway :) Great video!

Thanks. Informative. Helpful. Now, please ask your cameraman to watch this entire video, then come back and tell us all if HE gets dizzy too.

@@AngelCruz-st9jpOurs are Plug n Play 6.5'' and will offer much much better audio experience. This upgrade was done by hundreds of customers already.

Any links for replacement clips? I’m getting my first Tesla next week and the previous owner has managed to break a few clips 😢
Not specific link, but I am sure these guys on eBay have them.

just got 2014 and noticed the passenger door card poppers are out . any idea how to get them back in ? .

Do I need to add an amp to my light harmonic speakers or do they have on built in ?
Hi.
Our speakers do not have a built in Amp but you do not need to replace OEM Amp if you install our speakers in your car.
Thank you
Where do you get those panel tools? I've got a 3D printer if they can be printed.
Thanks!!
Is it true you can't replace parts on a Tesla without registering this in the software of the car (Tesla Toolbox)?
We could replace a lot of components without any problem.
Dope
Actually you need a 9mm
Buy some extra clips. Every time you remove a door panel of these cars plan on breaking a clip or two. Just saying.
How much are they?
What type of clips are used on the door panels?
Thanks for the video, it helps a lot.
