Hi, my 18-55 mm lenses do not have the Automatic Stabilization button and it also shows a 2 lenses pieces tied on the external part, assembled together and show much fungus, do you have any idea of how open these pieces without damage it?
How delicate are the ribbon cables? I'm cleaning a lens that's full of fungus, I've taken the rear off and cleaned the dust protector glass at the back (f/4.5.6 with stabilisation) which was filthy, but there's one snowflake of fungus on the rear lens inside. What are you using with the cotton wool?
3:40 Congrats, lens is now decentered and image results will be catastrophic: uneven sharpness, blurring and optical errors all over the place. You can't open the inner cell without recentering it on an optical bench. Anyway, does not really matter since you also took out the eccentric collars for tilt control with no position marks (2:42). Image quality will therefore be even worse. Horrible job, hope this wasn't for a client..
@Levi Hoffman This video is good for showing how to disassemble a lens and thats all Just dont expect it to work correctly if you reassemble it in such a hap hazard and careless way in this video
Don't they always go back together the same way? If not, the arm wouldn't work. It's three mount screws with no adjustment, so it should go back together exactly how it came apart.
muito bom ! Agora posso desmontar a minha lente
Toma cuidado com essas pinças pra não arranhar as lentes.
Thanks
