Amokriin Prolgiid IKR I found that so weird and it seemed like in season 1 Barry and Caitlin were starting to have a special connection but I think the writers were too scared to not follow the comics

But, continuing to make Barry marry his sister is too weird not to take liberties there. I mean, they already chose to delete white Wally West (a comic book fan favorite) completely. Which is a bold move to say the least (don't get me wrong, I still think CW kid flash is a compelling character despite not having much room for character development since black Wally West never became the flash). But what's the harm in letting Barry fall in love with someone else?
