There are websites like screwpaypal.com, paypalsucks.com and so on dedicated to blowing the lid off how PayPal treats users and so on.
The long and short of it all is that PayPal are bullies. They use bully tactics and most of the time, we can't do anything about it, they know it and they do not give a damn about you.
DO NOT for all these crappy videos online showing you how to "Hack PayPal" or how to get your money back through other methods. It won't work and you'll either end up getting scammed or just make the situation worse.
Keep your nose clean and you'll get results...
I can help just 1 person get their money back from these cyberbullies, that makes all of this worth it.
See, for about 6 years now I have been using PayPal. In the last 2 years alone, PayPal has processed over $1 million through 1 of my accounts.
Heck, I even had my own personal account manager whom I used to speak with over the phone at least once per month. Things were going great. I got personalised presentations about how my account is doing, etc. Life was good.
Until one fateful day in December of 2018...
I opened my email and BOOM... there it was... "Your account has been permanently limited."
My days of using PayPal was over. Forever.
I tried opening a new account and it went well for about a month... BOOM... another email. Account permanently limited.
During all of this, I tried finding out exactly why this happened and time and again I was told the same thing... "closed due to violating our acceptable use policy".

Why on earth would I have an account manager, if I was doing anything dodgy?? Why?
Here's where it gets interesting.
After counting the days and waiting for the full 180 days... I logged into my bank, ready to withdraw the money. And so of course, I still wasn't able to withdraw MY money.
I phoned PayPal and because I live in South Africa, I get routed to the call center in the Philipines of all places. They couldn't help and transferred me to the USA.
Now, this happened so many times I lost count. Nobody could help me. On multiple occasions.
I was met with arrogance and in one instance I was even told to "google it". By a supervisor. Yeah!
The only solution I was given was to link a USA bank account to my PayPal to withdraw the money.
Luckily I had a US bank account, but of course this didn't work either.
If ever you're in a situation where PayPal refuses to release your funds, you simply go to a website called the Better Business Bureau.
I opened a case with the BBB and within 1 month, a PayPal representative from the Executive Escalations department contacted me and helped me.
The aim of this video is to help you guys out there as it's incredible how many people are being bullied and taken for a ride by PayPal... and PayPal just keeps getting away with it.
If you ever have issues with PayPal, simply open a BBB case.
The more people who stand up against PayPal, the better.

PayPal lures you in for a time then they hold your funds. The steps it takes to unlock your money takes you into a repetitive circle. This guy is right! They don’t do it to every single person, but enough for them to make millions. They waited until I had hundreds in sales before they struck. I don’t know why the government doesn’t shut them down. Their customer service just mocks you with sarcasm and sends you the same steps over and over. They’re simply evil. Please don’t be their next victim!

There's this uploader called Beast of Ecom who I bet was paid by Paypal to act as spokesperson and say Paypal is not truly evil. He refers to them like theyre not so bad after all. SAying things like Paypal is human, Just be persistent because eventually you will get your money, giving tips on be nice in everything you and do naturally the gods will smile down and you and there will be butterfiles and fairies!

This guy had "80k" frozen by the Devil, yet somehow the way he refers to Paypal feels like their BFFs! His deamenour is not someone who was screwed over on a large amount. Heck, even rich People get fired up if sombody screws them over $500. SMH I've watched every video of victims relating to Paypal limiting accounts and they all speak truthfully. Like a scorned victim rightfully so.
So yes, he did eventually get his money back after a lenghty period of following Paypal's every order (Hitler-ish) after jumping over hoops of fire yet with no degree of certainty if it will work at all. Every waking hour you hope and pray anxiously, Im sure everyone will relate as you wait day to day for Paypal golden Nod for you to finally get the money.. Money that was 100% yours to begin with. SMHHHHH Imagine the psychological damage it brings to those who truly were in need of that money.
Paypal holds your hard earned money, puts up an electric fence and says NO NO NO and despite the fact that they've alreaady charged you ridiculous fees at the get-go.
My points are:
1) The act of generating an income is never easy.
2) When you do eventually come up with your business plan, then comes the act of performing an actual SALE. Tons of variables in that like customer buying mood, convincing the cust, competitor challenges etc etc etc
3) After sweating it out and finally get a Sale, here comes Paypal flashing their "I can limit your account" BADGES like they the FBI!
*** So in essence, the MONEY that I drew sweat blood tears, is not really my money???

First of all I'd like to thank you for the video. Sorry for what you and others have experienced. However, I am grateful that I had zero in my pay pal account when a lien was placed on it by the tax controller's office (I can put money in, but cannot withdraw funds.) The tax controller's office tried to collect money from me, not because money was owed, but because they claim I did not file 0 taxes, during the period in question. However, I do have records of speaking with someone and reporting 0 taxes. What's sad is that these people have no problem with misuse of your social. Since I've tried to use my gifts (writer/designer) to help others (charities etc.) I've be met with opposition. My goal is to have attorneys on board so I can effectively do what I am passionate about which is to use my gifts to provide solutions. Again thank you.

I’ve just started using it because depop make you in order to sell things and they’ve already put £70 on hold and for a 17 year old on £4.35 an hour that’s a lot of money...

I’ve just stated on my depop that from now I will not be accepting PayPal purchases and only bank transfers

lawson higgins if you do shipping through depop it automatically takes the money for shipping straight away and the money left in your account is the money from the item minus the shipping and the 10% that depop take x
I have years dealing with this kind of stuff from them. I'm done with them I can't believe it. Thanks god I found this, it's really helpful to find not only one but a whole comment section of people who's fighting the same situation.

I also had to wait for 180 days, still couldn't get my money. As you described they bullied me into giving every single personal detail of my entire life, I was done with it and threatened to make a police report. The next day I got my money back, they are thieves and they know it.

I am from India and I transfer money from my PayPal account to my friend who live in UK. After sending it has deducted from my account but I am shock when my friend told me that he didn't receive the payment. Thank you so much for this video I am experiencing the very same problems and its been debilitating to my life the past two months. It was helpful and I appreciate it. PayPal is absolutely ridiculous I am taking myself and my clients to a different company. Even opening an account with them is like pulling teeth. Their customer service not very good...can't properly explain what it is what they need so an easy thing took long. Frustrating!

PayPal is a very common online payment site, it is widely used and is accepted as a payment in plenty of sites. But the con is that your account could get limited which sucks.

FINALLY! I'm not alone in this world! These people at PayPal just keep copying and pasting the emails they send me without ever helping me get MY money back! 7 months & countless emails already...They even tell me that my National ID & Passport are not accepted, WTH??? Who am I to get them another one?

I was scrolling through some old orders I'd placed with suppliers and found quite a few that I had not received or been refunded for, so I decided to make some refund claims via paypal. There were about 8 such orders, but I only put in claims for the most recent 3. A few weeks pass, when out of the blue, paypal basically accused me of making fraudulent claims and restricted my account. This all happened yesterday, but so far, my account is still functional. The strange thing is, paypal have twice before told me they're closing my account for reasons unknown, yet nothing ever happened; I'm hoping this will be the case this time: and do they not understand the punch in the gut terror they put people through with these threats and unjustified suspensions, or do they simply not give a damn? I know, stupid questions.

What I figured out that works as of late for my ebay business is to open a claim and send them all the tracking info along with any proof you have that the item arrived and usually gets released that same day or next day. I also noticed the foreign customer service reps get nothing done! If they message you with a foreign name keep trying to submit a claim and eventually you'll get an American rep that will help you. Open a claim with PayPal on each transaction even when your account is limited? I just want to ask because my account is limited right now
@@mizzstarr510 When I have an issue with PayPal I always open a claim with them and give them some time they will usually respond within the same day or next day. If you do not get the outcome you want from them just try again until you do. It has taken me up to 2 times to usually fix my issues.

Hello. Just wanted to let everyone know that this happened to me in March 2021. Soon after hearing that my funds were frozen for 180 days, I followed the steps in this video and Paypal reached out about 16 days after filing a complaint with BBB and Attorney General. They released my funds and I just transferred the funds into my bank account. It worked! Thanks so much for making this video. I appreciate you!

Which attorney general ? I bet this method should and could be used with stripe and square which behave the same way from what I’ve read . I just don’t know what gateways to go with after reading only bad negative stuff about them all- stripe, sqaure , PayPal

Hello can you help me please I have to refund someone money due to a sell but the money never went to my account it says “payment received pending.” I only have 2 more days to refund but whenever I do it on PayPal it says I have un sufficient funds and to pay with credit card. So if I pay off my credit card will the money that’s on hold then go to my credit card? Or what do I have to do in this case.
I've been an established seller on eBay for a few years now and a few months ago my PayPal account was hacked. I was froze out and my password changed. Because my PayPal was attached to an old hotmail account I couldn't retrieve my password. So i set up an new PayPal allowing me to sell on my eBay again. I've had my first week salw put on hold and im frustrated to the max with them. Their customer service is terrible and when you ring you don't get any answers. So i had two late payments that have actually gone through yet the bulk is on hold. I was told to ask customers to go into their PayPal and click on received item to unlock the pending. I'm still waiting. This is just theft of the highest order. Trying to raise a bit of money for Christmas and it's being kept from me.

I really think PayPal is holding the money to invest in somewhere else. It happened to a few friends of mine, who are merely transferring money to friends. They are all are long-time consistent PayPal users. As soon as the transfer amount exceeds $500, it gets frozen, though they had never tell people not to exceed that amount.
If a small transaction under $100 is on hold should I just wait and see what happens since it’s a new account? Or is there any purpose in lodging a complaint with the BBB? Thank you for this video. I won’t be using PayPal moving forward. It’s ridiculous they can put holds on OUR money.

I've just started using PayPal just a few days ago I nabbed a few clients already but Paypal's holding my money hostage. My first client isn't from the US so they told me they would hold the money and supposedly give it after 7 days of verification whatever the hell that means.
My third client sent his payment a day ago and Paypal held it hostage again telling me that they'll release it within 1 day of delivery.
But the real confusing part is that when my second client paid up Paypal immediately gave the funds a few minutes after and yet they still haven't given the payments from my 1st and 3rd clients. Just to add more flame to the fire they sent me an email stating that my funds will be given 21 days after I get them unless I complete their bullshit list of requirements so I am no new seller anymore.
I mean I can smell bullshit from a mile away, man. They shroud this reasoning with "we just wanna make sure that you ain't a shady fellow" sort of deal but when in reality they just love holding up your money for whatever nefarious goals they have. I don't know anymore if I want to continue my ventures with Paypal anymore.
Best is to steer clear. Specially if you offer online services mate. Because they do not have a clear terms of use, they can just switch you off at any time. Look into getting Stripe.

i recently sent money to someone who did a graphic design piece for me. i sent the money and it showed up as withdrawaling $50 from my bank to pay the artist, but put it on hold so he could not put the money into the bank until i confirmed a reciept, but there is not option showing me where i can do that. after showing him i transferred the money is he still thinks i ripped him off
This just happened to a bunch of my friends. All of them just had their accounts limited and they don't know what to do. Are the emails in this video still up-to-date? I've been fighting with paypal from the turn on the year. I've even been through the Financial Ombudsman here in the UK, and won. But paypal still refused to refund me. My only option is court now apparently 🤨

Problem is if you are an eBay seller there is no alternative. It is so counterproductive to have to wait 21 days for my money every time I make a sales.
I sell stuff on Depop, and I just sold 70$ worth of items. It’s been pending for 3 weeks now and I’m not sure what to do. I have to use paypal to receive money from the items I’ve sold

I own a nonprofit animal rescue in the states and they just played this game with us. We have had animals die because we couldn’t get our funds out of there quick enough before they permanently closed it. I had filed with the BBB before the closure so hoping I get a resolution.

I tried going in to BBB.org. Started filling in the complaint questions but I don't know which Paypal office to lodge against. I chose San Jose, was re-directed to California BBB and then the page went blank. How does one get through to anyone in this mad media environment. Please help as I need my money. Ta

I'm shocked. I appreciate your video. I've read most of the comments and it just blew my mind. I am about to start selling reproduction parts of discontinued items for older cars. I had planned to use PayPal for the buyer to pay me through. And like so many of you, I too can not go for an extended period of time with my money on hold. One thing I noticed though, I see many of these complaints are coming from outside the USA. Does anyone know if this hold PayPal is doing only applies to outside USA sellers? I'm considering asking my customers to pay via money order. I know that is an inconvenience for them, so I really don't want to have to do that. I hope I don't come across sounding uncaring, because I certainly do care about anyone going through what I've read here. It certainly is an unfair practice.

Just happened to me. I didn't withdraw a single cent, but they are holding my 40k euros and are applying a 90 day rolling reserve at 50%, this is completely abusive.
I'll call them first and ask them for a less strict reserve and release of half of my funds. If that doesn't work, I'll file BBB complaint.
on the BBB site it says you need to know the location of Paypal. how do I know what address to use for them?

Hey man. Congrats on turning 18. Those were the days. I'm 37 actually :). As for the money I've made, it's been a combo of owning a Digital Marketing Agency as well as affiliate marketing, mate. I have lost a shitton of money as well though. My advice is this...
1. Find your passion.
2. Find a problem, then solve it. This video is case in point. It focusses on a very big problem which I sincerely try to solve. It's on a quarter of a million views.
3. Don't be greedy. Always give back.
4. Read books.
5. Don't waste your time on nonsense. Life is short and goes by in a blink of an eye.
6. ALWAYS be honest.
7. Be grateful.
8. Love your friends and family. They will always be there for you, no matter what.
9. Don't fear failure. You learn from it.

I'm surprised you said there is nothing we can do about it ( When it comes to paypal treating theirs customers like trash). I've been a victim of that conduct as well. So let me tell you something. We the people are the ones who are empowering these high profile corporations by using their services ( Case of paypal let them manage our money). So if we as a whole aren't satisfy there are legal ways ( Not sue the company it's a waste of time), actually boycotting the company by setting a world petition against companies who don't respect us. simple let us not give them our business period. They can't survive if we as a whole decide to withdraw our business like any business how big or small their lifeblood is the customers. So never encourage these companies to get away with their disrespectful attitude because they feel they are bigger than the customers who provide them with business.

Hi, I have a question: PayPal just refused to pay 2.7k USD to my dad, after the 180 days hold, stating that the terms were violated and that PayPal was going to take this as a penalty fee, like literally they just said we're not going to pay you YOUR money. Mine was held as well.. I sljuatvstsrted selling on ebay and use paypal to get paid from people who buy. I was on a hold for almost 2 weeks after they got their products, then once they received their products it was going right in.

I received the email that my appeal was denied, and that they are holding my money for 180 days...however, I didn't make an appeal for anything? I sold marketing services and yes there were a few disputes over the years. No trading PayPal account doing over 500k per year will have no disputes. That's impossible.

I had a friend sending me money on 5 december 2019. I saw the money in 1 minute in my Paypal account. Then i used "Instant witdraw" feature from paypal for an extra fee. It is 9 december 2019 and still dont have the money in my bank account. I called my bank and they said there dont see any money from Paypal. I barely used my account. In one year i used it only to send money 3 times. I tried file a complaint throug bbb but i cant do complaint i dont understand some things they ask when you complain. If you can make a tutorial how to fie a complain for paypal as personal person and not company it will be great.
