First time watching your channel. I too am redoing our homeschool room. I suggest looking at kitchen cabinets specifically ones that have drawers that way you can install baby locks on each drawer and cabinet and the cabinets should be more durable than cheap partial board.
Just thought of another suggestion if those cubbie shelves are from IKEA, you could get the drawer inserts they sell and add baby locks to those drawers.
