You guys they are called nail artists for a reason! It takes practice to get something to your liking! I been doing my own nails since I was in elementary school starting with nail polish and became really good at paining, design, and shaping by the time I was in high school! It takes practice and if it’s something you really want then you will be really motivated to practice! Keep watching tutorials, keep practicing, and you can only learn and do better from your mistakes! Y’all will get it! 😆
How long does a polygon set lasts. Do you have to use dehydrator and primer for them to not pop off I.e when washing dishes or showering
@@ladiilove3190yes like for any enhancement you have do a very well nail prep. Add your dehydrator & your primer, I’m not too sure but I believe that with poly gel. You need to add base coat before applying the poly gel!
Dehydrator and primer along with base and top coat came in my 1st morovan kit with lamp
For any of you that have never done this before this is not easy. This video makes it look 100 times easier than it really is.

Honestly, Im so disappointed. I spent $60+ to get 2 kits, ( 1 for my mom for Christmas). I tried doing my nails this past weekend. They turned out AWFUL!! Every single one of them broke, came out uneven, just a mess. A nail tech told me that they take at least 4 -5 times longer to cure because the light isn't strong enough. Definitely dont waste your time or money expecting to end up with results like this. She is an experienced tech and probably has the higher intensity light and so on.

Yall make it look so easy. I can't stop making a mess flooding the cuticles & the back. It's so hard to hold & cure. I even got the clips, but I still end up with crooked messy nails.😢
Use rubbing alcohol to help move the polygel into place and to clean around the edges..u have to practice trust me I had to...I may do a video to show my progress. I use TOBEGLAM polygel kits❤They are very good practice with great prices❤The packaging itself is incredible.

Me too! And my nails kept lifting and turning out thick which required a lot of filing, personally I’ve found using builder gel with nail forms is easier and can be build up to the thickness you want. Also using dehydrator and a primer really helps my nails last a while.

That particular brand/bottle of "Morovan" base & top coat shown above at the very beginning of this clip is (in my experience) the absolute best I have ever used! I even have a different base & top coat from Morovan that's a black bottle & it's not as good as the white bottle Morovan base & top coat.

Is it possible to do this but make the fake nails a lot shorter? I have past issues with long nails...
Definitely. The apex needs to be built up when it comes to the longer nails. For shorter nails you should buff the nail, apply a coat of clear builder gel, wipe off the tacky layer, and seal with top coat. Hope this helps!

Maybe I can help, I’ve been doing my nails for 4 years. When you say break do you mean they crack across or just pop off? If they crack try making it a little thicker at the base. If they fall maybe it’s an issue with prep. Prep is very important when it comes to polygel.

I have morovans poly gel kit but my poly gel doesn’t move like this. It’s thick and hard to maneuver
This poly gel will change according to the weather temperature, you can soak it in hot water for 2-3 minutes, and it will become soft🥰

Is there a trick to this I’m watching so many videos cuz my gel is always Uber hard to squeez out hard to work with.. I have done acrylic nails to myself for 35years and taught myself to do gels and bout 2 sets but just looking for pro~tips!! Thank you
I deff have not been doing my nails for 35years lol but if I have that gel issue what helps me is to soak my brush in your slip solution, rubbing alcohol or whatever your using to apply and it will loosen it up :)
If it's hard to squeeze out of the tube, try putting the tube in hot water for 10-15 minutes right before you're easy to use it (with the top screwed on to the tightly, of course). Heat makes gel products runnier, cold makes them thicker.
