How much Yulianna Avdeeva has matured in musical interpretation since she won the prestigious 16th Chopin Competition in Warsaw. This is not an easy piece of music to perform with such a strength, preserving the musical theme all through. An impressive achievement with clarifying phrasing, perfectly tempered tones, precision and a blazing technique. It’s a reel endurance test to perform Liszt Transcriptions! Bravo Avdeeva. I do hope You will record this on CD.
Yes, Indeed! I'm exhausted just watching this performance, let alone playing one note of this warhorse of a composition!! In the positive sense of the word. This performance is as if I'm riding a roller coaster and I'm holding my chair as tight as I could!
This a wonderful performance of a very demanding Liszt transcription of Wagner's music. Liszt has created a genuine piano piece, not merely an orchestral piece "reduced" as in so many other transcriptions. Its technical demands are prodigious, and Avdeeva is impressively up to them. I would like to hear more of Wagner-Liszt played by this remarkable musician.

Hm...the likes of Mount Everest comes to mind...and above and beyond even higher than that! Miss Avdeeva, absolutely astonishing. Only very few have before did and now can reach the very top as you have, and to live to tell the tale! Absolutely amazing.
Music is her life, her treasure and joy, her mantra and meditation, her blessing and mission. She celebrates it with passion and reverence in uttermost engrossment. Nothing is artificial nor superficial. The result are such performances as this one: brilliant, perfect, powerful and incomparable. I believe She gets energy and inspiration from Above. Thank You, Yulianna, for sharing your great talents!
You summed it wonderfully and perfectly. In 50 years, actually no pianist has ever impressed me so much. Yuliana Avdeeva is exactly the opposite of the hyped pianist, but above all the absolute opposite of this massively overrated superficial show-off Buniatishvilli.
A very fine performance, but I grew up listening to Cziffra's recording of this piece and that is what I am accustomed to. Cziffra makes this piece sound so effortless with the clarity of each note struck perfectly (but he does that with every murderously difficult piece he performs). Watching this piece and hearing her twangs here and there and the effort she puts into making the melody work makes me realize just how difficult this piece is. I must compliment her on her passion and artistry however, and that has always been her strength.
A great live performance of this very difficult Liszt piano transcription. Performed with flair, brilliant technique and not at least the neccessary musical emotions. Thank you Yulianna.

By far, this is my favorite Liszt transcription and I believe this is one of the best interpretations I've ever heard. Yulianna is an inspiring artist, I love her playing! Everything is clear, logical and balanced (and it seems she respects music even more not to appealing to weird dresses, as some female pianists do).
This woman is incredible - I adore this arrangment. I also really like how honest her body language is at the paino - for some reason modern performers pertentiously jank and jerk around pulling obserd facial expressions wanking themselves into an obvlivion of pretentiousness.
