By an objective technicality yes the iPad is a computer, there is just no getting around that. However I think the question your asking is on par with high end professional desktop Operating Systems. It’s really just comparing Apples to oranges pun partly intended.
A true iPad mini Pro w/ Business pro features would be awesome. I’d like a portable pad I can tuck under my arm waking with a client on a plane or campus. Because after 10-13” & adding a keyboard, u may as well use the MacBook
iPad Pro is often bigger now the. It needs to be for a travel power user. For most of us seriously power working use a Mac so a MacBook Pro is the true mobile office & workhorse. iPad Pro is an awesome intermediate & for a different type of creative user. But as a team, they’re awesome. But yes, give us Pro features to work side by side with our Mac & phone
I Don’t use my iPad as a computer I have a labtop I use my iPad 10 for watching yt and I have iPadOS 18 running on my iPad 10 and it runs good ipados 17.6 is the new public version also iPadOS 18 brings a new game mode and I use it and I have iPadOS 18 running on my iPad 8 as well
I am bedridden and have been for a long time due to the failure of the medical and legal system. I had to abandon my $1700 PC and $600 HUION Kamvas for a $250 iPad Pro 12.9 2018 and my god iPad OS is TERRIBLE for actual multitasking and SERIOUS productivity. Apple loves to shill these things to professionals as workhorses but you do not want to do anything super serious on these things at risk of data and precious time. If I would have known that Procreate would be the only thing that made it worth glancing at, then I would have just gotten a Lenovo Yoga for the same amount of money. Hobby artists and people who sketch a lot and won't use the device for anything else? Go ahead. Get it. Actual professionals who need multiple tools? Buy a 2-in-1 PLEASE.
