Did I pull at some heart strings? Hopefully I did, because that was my goal. I mean, the song itself (and Tao's heartfelt singing) is already pretty painful, but I wanted to make sure that watching the lyrics will be painful, too. If I suffer, you will also suffer. insert evil laugh here
I tried a very different approach to my lyric videos this time around. There's always something that I change in every video to make it a bit more unique, but this one takes the cake. I might stick with this concept, tbh.
Good thing the lyrics are repetitive otherwise this might've taken as long as El Dorado, aka 5 hours. (this took around 3 hours to make, but then again, El Dorado taking 5 hours was my fault since I made mistakes in my format causing me to redo around 30-50 pictures individually, twice T_T)
I thought at first that editing the video was the hardest part in making lyric videos, turns out it's the easiest. Compiling all the lyric pictures into a video then converting it to MP4 is actually pretty easy and fast. It takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour average. Making the actual pictures is what takes so long. xP
First Chinese lyric video, yay. No, but seriously, I think I'm the first person who did a lyric video to ZTAO's Reluctantly in Pin/Chi/Eng format. I tried searching for one a while ago on UA-cam, but I never found one that's complete. I finally have an excuse as to why I did this song, then. xD
I hope you realized that the backgrounds that I used were the silver ocean and Hailangs' purplish-blue ocean. And, well... the third one's pretty obvious, right? xD
In the end, I did do a song of my ultimate bias. :3 Yes, my UB is Tao. My UB also had to be the most recent one that left EXO when I got into them like 5 months ago. sigh As for the next one, ehhh, I might just do one more ZTAO song. I already got a format ready for that song. Just one more (maybe?) xD
Or I might do EXO - Promise. Yeah. Every single freaking verse in that song, especially Chanyeol's rap, makes me feel all sorts of emo. All aboard the feels train. TvT
If you made it this far into the description, congrats. Have some random information: I'm currently keeping my eyes open for these rookie groups - Dreamcatcher, BLACK6IX, Seven O'Clock (SOC) and TopSecret. I have already done 3 out of the 4 songs released so far by DC. I'm just waiting for that Lullaby translation. I don't wanna rely on Google Translate, as well as another CCL video without knowing the source of the translation and crediting them. A possibility of my upcoming lyric videos will either be SOC's Echo, B6's Universe (did I just invent BLACK6IX's nickname? lol) or TopSecret's She. Just a little side note: I know that Tao was inspired by his ex-girlfriend in the US to make this song. I just wanted to make a little twist in the lyric video and seem that it was intended for EXO and EXO-Ls.
