This is so cool. This is what I'm subscribed for! It's very interesting. I take photos of things to put on my to-do list as well, but it's never integrated to my other time management software, so they end up forgotten and cluttering my photos. I would love to see more gestures explored as well!! That would offer alternatives for the repetitive hand positions that my work and my phone both require.
The concept is good but camera usage notification should be lit since it is using the camera. With this demo it just proved that the camera can be used by other apps without notifying the user.
Interactions like drawing a rectangular outline over the scene to be captured can be integrated to the pointing gesture to enable different modes of capturing information Like,Point at a scene and then draw a outline over the area to be captured like taking a screenshot of custom area. This would make gestures more complex to understand for the system is a drawback of the same. But i think this technical defeciency can easily be solved.
