I can actually read most of their movements because we (maori) have meanings for all. So I think krumping is the influence here on a Maori war dance done by a Korean group (?) I don't actually know who they are to be fair,I just heard how they use the haka so came for a look-see. I'm on the fence about how to feel about it but as long as they're respectful,hei aha (whatever)

Everyone has their own opinions on it, but I think that this was done with good intention and creates conversation around the Māori culture and traditions which is very cool to see.
I think they might have regretted their decision a bit seeing how well recieved Prime Kingz was from the public once the show started airing, and also how well they are doing on their own too. Their Mega Crew Video kinda blew up. I mean it got more views then some of the other crews remaining on the show + so many ppl were furious about the elimination. I mean Prime Kingz held the show and Mnet knows this

Kia Ora, I'm a Māori and from NZ... saw a reel of this performance on Instagram which lead me to this... not going to lie it did feel a bit odd as it was completely unexpected, but it is awesome to see other cultures incorporating things from our culture into artistic pieces. It is obviously done in terms of appreciation which helps to spread knowledge of our traditions in a contemporary way.
No they have done enough, look, even I, who don't even know krump before and probably won't choose krump as my dance style, am liking it now. Watching this performance by Prime Kingz I've gotten gooseflesh all over, left speechless for their chreographic movement, stage arrangement, as well as auras given off of the perfomers. I would actually prefer Mnet to do a special stage like this every once in a while for dancers. They don't have to sing, just a dance performance. I support Cocanbutter going through that singer-dancer path and debuting as a group but it just feels unnatural since they have to sing while dancing which limits their dancing abilities just like idols do. This performance on the other hand, they nailed it and is very well deserve for a special stage. Primekingz really stole the heart of everyone lol. The “HAKA” is a ceremonial Māori war dance or challenge. Haka are usually performed in a group and represent a display of a tribe's pride, strength and unity. Actions include the stomping of the foot, the protrusion of the tongue and rhythmic body slapping to accompany a loud chant.

I would actually prefer Mnet to do a special stage like this every once in a while for dancers. They don't have to sing, just a dance performance. I support Cocanbutter going through that singer-dancer path and debuting as a group but it just feels unnatural since they have to sing while dancing which limits their dancing abilities just like idols do. This performance on the other hand, they nailed it and is very well deserve for a special stage. Primekingz really stole the heart of everyone lol.
