Awesome! Have you had to change for flip the shear bars on this chipper? I can't figure out how to take them out.

Yeah I have! It’s a real PIA. There are two shear bars on this chipper actually. There is two bolts on the hydraulic tank side of the chipper. And then there are two bolts on the bottom of the chipper underneath the belt housing.
You also have to take the springs off the feed wheel and jack that up so you can reach inside and pull them out. It’s annoying af.

@@thearborbarber Thanks a lot. It's taking me a few day to figure out how to do that. Amazingly this is not covered in the operator's or maintenance manuals. I noticed there is a screw thread in the top of that roller housing. Do you know if that is used to attached something like an eye-bolt to pull and lift the wheel up, or do you think it's for a long bolt to screw into the top to lift it up, kinda like a screw jack. You know there not a single video on the subject anywhere that I can find.

@@jimw7043 that’s a good question. I’m gonna look at that. Because Ive been taking the springs off to lift it manually this whole time. Youre right, there is very little info on there on the maintenance of this chipper.

How do you like the 700 For tree work? Just got a chip truck and looking for a chipper I found a 700 for a good price, when I worked for a company they had a 12 in bandit that was super nice but they are expensive, from your experience would you just get the 700 for starting or would you rather spend extra to get a more powerful diesel chipper?

I bought this in July and I’m really happy with it, it’s exactly what I need and it gets the job done. It chips really well and it will chip a 6 inch log. I just started my company and I get a lot of smaller pruning and removal jobs.

I would say if your just starting out and are working solo, then get it. I was worried about it not being enough chipper but it kicks ass.
