The way Simon was formally represents what REAL agents do.....we don't play and don't care if someone is mad....it's just 'sorry, you're not meant for this role' and 'next'.....or we give good ones a chance to show they can be great...as Simon did here....and we DEFINITELY BLACKLIST BAD ATTITUDINAL PEOPLE.

Simon knows exactly what he is doing. As soon as he said "You've got the potential to BE a great a capella group", I felt something. I knew it was going to be the best advice.
Some gullible people out there. It was clearly scripted. They completely changed the performance and pacing of the song...
Every time Simon halts a performance it’s definitely been planned.
The harmonies are only effective a capella. And the harmonies sold it!!

I agree. If what we saw is true it feels so scripted unless they cut out certain points. I feel like you don’t pull off that acapella version without even rehearsing or discussing the arrangement at least once.

@@laurelgrasset8639 everyday singing I guess? every house had their own karaoke. A Bluetooth speaker, a mic and a youtube connection will do also. UA-cam had this karaoke video if they don't have karaoke machines at home a portable Bluetooth speaker is the alternative hehe ... everyday it's the usual here in the PH.. one example is on my end after a long day of work I release stress in singing or playing guitar while singing, It;s just our past time singing here I guess
I have noticed that they are indeed usually great singers. It's just they're schtick. Like Jamaica and track stars
They are the Luntayao Family from The Voice Generations. They were under Coach Stell (which has a ppop group named SB19) and they were teach how to harmonize and acapella effectively. I know Coach Stell is very proud of this group! They deserve to perform in front of international people specially AGT! You guys nailed it! I felt you guys remember all the learnings you gained from Coach Stell. Congratulations L6 ❤

Filipinos are really musically inclined, talented. When I was 17, my sister took me to enjoy music at clubs here in Kuala Lumpur which mostly hired Filipino bands. They were all so, so gooood! Not surprised to see this, I knew they would blow our minds even before they started singing!

It wasn't necessary, but it was absolutely the best thing for them. It went from a really good performance to a legendary one.

This was obviously staged with Simon stopping them and saying they should be a cappella and judging the track for being terrible - within seconds of them starting (what a genius Simon!) and then them going and doing the most mind blowing amazing a cappella performance on the fly.
Notice at 2:23, the woman in green is absolutely sobbing, as if Simon has crushed her. Also, she is right next to the woman in orange and someone else at that time - shoulder to shoulder. Then seconds later at 2:31 she’s smiling and perfectly fine, and separated from the others and in a different order. Then, you see nearly the exact same clip of her crying around 5:22 - when she was tearing up out of happiness, not because Simon was being mean. Then at 2:54 Heidi acting like it’ll be difficult for them with the tempo - as if they haven’t already practiced the amazing performance they’re about to deliver. And then magically, after the curve ball Simon threw them, they somehow manage to provide an incredible a capella performance with everyone on point and in sync. 😂
I love AGT but it can be pretty silly.
But I digress - this was a gold buzzer performance for me, absolute incredible vocal performances, powerful voices each one, harmonizing, the overall arrangement. Masterful!
I am so glad that they did not get discouraged and let them selves be thrown off their game. They retrenched and gave that song their all. As they continued singing accapella, I think they started to realize just how good they were sounding. I will not be surprised if, in the future, they will continue to sing together, but as an accapella group, and develop their style even more. They have the gorgeous vocal tones, powerful delivery and they harmonize beautifully.
One of the hardest songs to sing by the iconic Celine Dion. They were awesome! 🎉❤

The Celine Dion version took the song to the stratosphere and Eric received a mountain of money as a result. ❤️ Similar to how Carole King wrote Natural Woman but Aretha embodied the song and it’s her powerhouse version everyone loves. Simon has a HUGE point. Sometimes, when groups like this one perform with tracks, some of their voices get lost and it leaves not much room for expression. You can just hear the raw power of these amazing voices without the backing track.

Just a fun fact: This talented group is actually the Luntayao Family, who also competed on The Voice Generations Philippines under Coach Stell Ajero (a member of a popular boygroup in the Philippines - SB19)! They impressed everyone with their beautiful harmonies, especially their performance of "All By Myself." Speaking of "All By Myself," Stell also recently surprised everyone with an impromptu rendition of the song. He trended after hitting those high notes at the HITMAN: David Foster & Friends concert in the Philippines.

Mentioning Stell does not mean disrespecting Luntayao family (L6) or taking away the spotlight towards them. It is just informing others that Filipinos do have great talent and it is actually nice to inform people that WOW! WHAT A NICE COINCIDENT IT WAS, that they perform All By Myself and their former TVG coach Stell also recently performed the same song by the request of David Foster on his concert and both nailed each performances. Instead of bragging about things just acknowledge, be happy and be proud of the amazing talents our fellow Filipinos have. Proud Pinoy❤
