    Thanks for the additional tip on how to adjust with tiny screwdriver, I tried it and it worked! Extremely sensitive adjustment!

    What did you actually do when adjusting the speed? Did you turn the screw clockwise/counter clockwise? If you could give a little more detail explaining exactly what you did to adjust the speed that would be helpful.
    Thanks!

      I tried the adjustment according to your instructions, but did not feel any “ grip” when putting the screwdriver in the 33 or 45 hole at the bottom of the turntable. I used the same screwdriver as you did.😬

    I feel like my denon is busted. 33 rpm is perfect, but when I change the 45 speed, it either goes insanely fast or insanely slow when I adjust the speed. I’ve had for about ten years so I’m debating making an upgrade to something new.

    • @FromMyListeningChair
      @FromMyListeningChair  25 днів тому

      @@9091Austin there's a fine line when doing the 45RPM speed adjustment. Don't give up once you get to the right speed it should not fluctuate. If it does it might be a belt slipping issue. Hope this helps.

      @@FromMyListeningChairhey, I've got the same thing, finally found similar cases here. Adjustment worked out but like insanely extremely sensitive. All or nothing. After finally having fixed the 33RPM slow speed, I found it started fluctuating. Like really audible, unpleasant to listen to. Sure that could be belt slipping? I have the idee that it is really the motor. How can I eliminate the slipping? Thanks!

      @FromMyListeningChair  24 дні тому

      @@frankfeenstra The cheapest way is getting a new belt then go from there. 98% of the time that's the issue.

    You didn’t show how to do anything

    You did not show us what type of screwdriver used to make the adjustment.

      @FromMyListeningChair  Рік тому

      Sorry about that. It was a small flathead jeweler's screwdriver. One often used on glasses. Thanks for watching.

      Yes, and he also says, as you can see, it's in proper speed now. he doesn't move the camera to the speed graph on the platter and doesn't show or explain what we should be looking at/for to show it operating at proper speed. I was hoping to get all the information from this video. I have never done a speed adjustment on a turntable before so was looking for full instructions.

      @@jim109 I'm sorry about that it was my first video. I'll get better at it hopefully.

    Nice video.
    I own Denon DP 29F. It also has similar screws. I need to buy the smallest flathead screwdriver first BUT I realised that the material inside the turntable is rubber. Hope it works for me too?

    • @FromMyListeningChair
      @FromMyListeningChair  Рік тому +2

      Yes it should just remember to use the smallest flathead and don't poke too deep. Once you push through the rubber it should be right there. Thanks for watching!

      I have the same problem, found two holes with rubber parts in it. Do I have to rotate the rubbe parts to adjust the speed or is there a metal screw behind the rubber? How much rotation is needed to observe an effect?

    • @FromMyListeningChair
      @FromMyListeningChair  Рік тому +2

      @@mirjamstuiver4043 Yes you would need to pass the rubber to the metal screw on the motor. Remember to use the smallest jeweler flathead screw driver and the difference should be noticed right away when you feel the screw resistance.
