What do you guys think of companies installing incorrect panels ? Happenned to me and I am still trying to get them to correct it. I am afraid this is rampant and prevalent in the industry as most homeowners will not be able to determine if the wrong panels are installed. My current panels are rated 40 kWH less per panel thanthe ones my contract states. How many other homes see this happen? I have to admit I went into this deal expecting to be ripped off, so I was ready for this. That is a bad look for Solar im my book. Batteries seem to be another area where shenanigans can happen and most don't need them.
Solar panel substitution is more common than you think. Most solar contracts allow the contractor to substitute like materials of equal or greater wattage. In most cases, there is malicious intent on the part of the contractor. Supply constraints affect the entire industry and this year supplies are particularly tight.

Sadly, I went with you guys over Energy Sage and I can't even begin with how disappointed I am in my experience. Your rep based in Florida and apparently you, Joe, have dropped the ball repeatedly with getting my paperwork correct, sent to the installer, and frankly being unresponsive. This is leaving me to do seemingly doing all the follow-up work with all parties involved to see what is going on with my system! You guys don't have a process in place to ensure that contracts have been received by the installer, leaving me to THINK that my system was in the "dead period" where the installer is pulling permits and prepping everything.
After 2 months of not hearing anything from anyone after singing my contract, I followed up with the installer and they had no recollection of me or my contract that they were supposed to get from you guys. After more back and forth and seemingly getting another signature from us that you guys failed to provide the first time, my attempts to get an answer regarding the status of everything from your rep have been unsuccessful as he never responds or gets back with an answer when he says he will, much less at all.
After watching every single video this channel has ever created an feeling positive about my decision to move forward with Solar Surge, I'm extremely disappointed in my experience to date, which has been ongoing since this summer and I still have no idea what the status of my system is as I type this comment.
I'm sure it will eventually get sorted out and resolved and I will be happy with my system and work by the installer, but you guys get a ZERO in the sales and service experience seeing the system through to completion and I will never be able to recommend you to anyone who inquires about the system I'm having installed. Hopefully you can improve this area of your business soon, but as of this moment it's inconceivably broken.
