So sick, and as everyone has said the mix is incredible. This looks like tons of fun to play - any tips for how to get good/proficient at this kind of fast pop punk stuff? I either get fatigued really fast or can't be clean at those speeds. I imagine practicing slow is probably the way...
Thank you :) Yeah practicing slow is good. The speed will come with time. You could also try taking out one limb - for instance, the hi-hat hand and focusing on getting your snare hand and kick drum foot locked-in.
Thank you :) Yeah I really wanted to add a snappy little fill at the start that captures the energy and vibe of the rest of the song. I had a lot of fun mixing this one and getting my drums sounding how I like them.
Bro your videos are crazy good 👍🏻 I play guitar for several years, but consider to learn drums too for fun now. Do you think its an instrument, that you can easily learn all by yourself to play those punk songs? Or do you need a teacher
Hey mate :) thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it 🥰 As for drum lessons... I reckon it's really beneficial to find a decent drum teacher for the first couple of months. It will really help set you up correctly for your drumming journey and make sure you're not ingraining habits.
