Grew up at Caprock Canyons (Formerly known as Lake Theo) before it became a state park. Lots and lots of adventures there as a kid. One of the most beautiful places! The views are breath taking!! So peaceful there.
Awesome video, would really like to take 2 week trip and visit Palo Duro, Cap Rock and Coppers Break for night sky. So many options just in Texas! Thanks for the great videos
Thank you! I did Palo Duro and Caprock Canyons in two separate trips over a couple months. If you can knock them both out together, I'd highly recommend. That was a lot of driving haha. Still worth it!
I don't think I can choose. They're both amazing. I like that Caprock is less busy but I think it has less trail mileage. Palo Duro has more amenities that might be nice for families though.
@@smithmutexas I’m looking forward in visiting Caprock Canyon this week. Any trails that you recommend? Enjoyed Palo Duro, now we want to check out Caprock Canyon.
@@MrSTravelQuest Haynes Ridge is a must. The Upper South and North Prong Trails are amazing, and Eagle Point trail has a lot of good signs with info about the park as well as some decent sights.
@@smithmutexas I'm leaving tomorrow and going to check it out. I hope to run into the Bison while i'm there. I can't wait to hike and get some footage.
Great Great job men. Thank you.

Very nice...which park did you like better? Palo Duro or Caprock?
I liked Caprock Canyons a bit more. The views from Haynes Ridge made it for me. You can see for miles.
@@smithmutexas I did too...I agree that view from Haynes Ridge is freakin crazy!
