Another mind-blowing video, Gabrielle, shows us the world famous tannery , the carpet factory, and the beautiful markets with various exotic lanterns and furniture, which give you an idea of the culture of the people and the beauty of the city of Fes. Of course she shows the exotic foods which are very tasty and the artitecture of the town. In the year 1000 in Christian calender Fes was the biggest city in the world and Fes is the reason why the west write the Arabic numbers because Christian priest was welcomed to study in Muslim universities in Fes and they took with them such numeric writing.... el karawein university is the oldest university in the world... it used to be the main university to study astronomy in old Arab science era... Fes is a twin sister city of Cordoba of then Muslim Andalucia spain ... Fes used to have much Andalucian Moroccan noble families ... so it's also the Moroccan state capital before 1912 ... now it's Rabat
