Thank you all for such a lovely, heartfelt and beautiful concert of miraculous klezmer music. Thank you for sharing your Mozel Tov to all from Los Angeles, California. Your music reaches out across the world!
I wish we had just one klezmer band in Sudbury. The folk ensemble I play trombone in occasionally dabbles in klezmer, but I can't get enough of it. It's good to see that this band includes a trombone.
Wonderful happy music! I love klezmer! If I may say so Eszter is a wonderful singer and looks so very much like my daughter Changuion when she was younger and still had long hair. Amazing likeness! 😍 Erich from New Zealand.
Klezmer music/klezma is Ahshlenazi music and evolved from all Ashkenazi communities. You can hear the mideastern as well as the slavic influences (and some Gypsy too). In my opinion tango also contains Klezma influences. It did not specifically originate in Romania, but as there are Jewish (and Gypsy) communities there, Klezma is well represented. This concert took place in Rumania and the badn is from there too. I love it.
My salutation to the talented Klezmer musicians and the mezzo soprano DIVA "Eszter", simply thrilling singing & dancing exercise at 91. I watch everyday.
That wind talks, great chorus, great thumping rhythm below, all.good! Feel the need to dance and nign along, come on audience, politeness has its limits even in shul.
Thank you for a wonderful concert. Satu Mare is the city that the Satmar come from. Ironically, among the Satmar, men are not allowed to hear women sing.
Thanks for recording this; the Satmar I know nothing of, but people need to purge these silly religious traditions. Religion imho has killed more people than any good it has done. Mazel Tov!.
For a few seconds I thought she was singing in catalan, it sounded not strange to me, I like this music, from Spain multumesc, musica mult frumoasa. ❤.
I can only guess that this fine band is located in Roumania, because it seems that everyone who made comments, wrote them in Roumanian (and I think klezmer music originated there). My mother was a singer of Yiddish and Hebrew songs long ago in Chicago, and now I sing them in Antigua Guatemala.
Klezmer didn't originate *only* in Romania but all over Eastern Europe. Especially where close to gypsies like Romania but also Hungary and so forth (and remember there were loose boundaries then). Nice to hear its sang in Guatemala! We sang it when we lived in South America. Zame gizint und shtark!

很棒的演奏會、演唱會,歌聲及管弦樂都很好聽。一堆上了年紀的資深演奏家,加上優美輕快旋律,我非常喜歡
I wish we had more Klezmer Bands in Ottawa Ontario. They always make me want to dance and cry at the same time....

How can the audience sit so still?!?!? I'm bopping out my seat!
Some of us bop internally!
I know, huh? I was just thinking that same thing
BECAUSE: With this music "not from this world" the soul is dancing - the body can if .... but necessary is only a little smile 😉
