Hello and pleased to find you. Searching for helpful tips to take the back off of my Fostex R8 to put the misplaced belt that drives the pinch post back on or replace it. Thank you in advance for any help you might be able to provide. Love the positivity!
Take the back of; then the audio print unfolds downward from the top, it hinges at the bottom. Then the capstan belt is visible: carefully unscrew the plate that holds it. I hope it is just the belt that needs replacing, mine also needed the plastic wheel replaced as it came loose from the shaft. good luck!

Ik heb zelf een Technics 1500 in originele staat, en ben op zoek naar een "mrl" wat me de gelegenheid geeft om te zien of de machine nog binnen de specs presteert. Heb jij misschien een tip waar ik daarvoor terecht kan (voor hobby gebruik) een originele mrl tape uit de vs is me wat te gortig :-) Blijf vooral content maken!

Een echte MRL tape is eigenlijk de enige juiste, maar er zijn goedbedoelde hobbyisten en professionals die ook (goedkopere) tapes maken, die vind je meestal op ebay als je zoekt naar 'calibration tape'. Ik weet van o.a. een duitser die ze maakt. Ikzelf heb er geen ervaring mee, dus ik kan niet zeggen hoe accuraat of hoe slecht ze zijn......Ik zeg altijd maar: alle waar naar zijn geld!
