"If you cant sleep with it or eat it chrome it" shirt please Brian. I can see John doing a 50's pin up girl eating a sandwich or something dope like that. Ill take the first sample please Scotto. lol. Great episode as always.
I love seeing these older guys with crazy cars. Something about the connection they make with you guys seems to put the biggest smiles on their faces since they see how much you guys enjoy it. Bring on more of the old timers.
Being from England, hearing Jon say he's never seen one in real life amazed me. Morris Minors here are as common I guess Mustangs are in America, so imagine hearing some American saying they'd never seen a Mustang. Think I only discovered this channel last week, love it!
I'm not normally into "hot rod" type builds, but man seeing the photo album of this thing, and hearing Jeff talk about the history with the truck totally got me. The truck is sweet, but Jeff is a bad ass! Super cool.
ua-cam.com/video/TFjxJP3EbRk/v-deo.html This is not a great build compared to some here in the UK twitter.com/Michael91495586/status/1338319969898164227
As an Englishman I have a deep love for a lot of British and American cars and motorbikes and I can easily say, this is THE sickest 'Moggie' I have ever seen or heard. What a sweet motor. ('Moggie' is the Morris Minor's nickname in the UK)
I live in England and have a love for Morris Minors, My mum even used a fully original one for her wedding car so I should be offended, But I'm not this is sick it's great when you do something outside the norm and it pays off. Hope it stays on the road for another 30 years 👌
@@chair362 "you must hate top gear" And you must hate that a Morris Minor isn't a Morris Marina.. VERY different car... you know, the car that Top Gear actually hated...
John needs to pick guests more often, love this oldschool stuff! That a living piece of US hotrodding history right there, the man and the machine. Drove one of these in original form in my teens, it was from a father of a friend. Right hand drive, on the right side of the road with non synchro gears in busy traffic with the thing hardly moving out of it's own way.. It was an experience not to forget..
Here in Australia, in 1971, I had a early "split-window" Morris Minor ute ( utility truck)..but went in a slightly different direction....a 1620cc Austin motor with a hot cam, modified pistons, hand-ported head, balanced and blueprinted crank, twin 2.5 inch SU carbies, water injection, twin-outlet extractors exhaust with hotdog resonators ....and an MGB gearbox..with a modded MGB differential. A 3-inch roll cage was fitted by a friend. I used 7-inch-wide white steel wheels and Michelin fat radial tyres( which were, at that time, VERY expensive!) It was painted red, and had a black tonneau cover. On a hard takeoff, it would lift the front wheels off the road..and then lift them again, as I hit second gear. It topped out at 110 MPH only, but it got there real fast. Today, I only have ONE photo left of that car..as all my house contents and photos were stolen , one weekend. When I had that car, I gave MANY much bigger cars a real fright..often left Ford Falcon V8's and Holden V8's far behind me! One of the most fun cars, that I have ever owned. Sadly, I barrel-rolled the car in late 1971, while trying to avoid a head-on with a drunk driver. I was OK, a few scratches only, but the car was totalled.
Thank god for the real true custom builders out there. Those that are left truly are a dying breed. I just hope that it never dies and these young kids coming up pick up on this art and keep it moving into the future. What makes him a true badass is that he understands that if you got them you smoke the holy hell outta them
Our family car was a Morris minor van, also in grey. Me and my sister sat on the wheel arches in the back for hours and hours when we went on holiday. Happy days.
I live in Australia and my dad used have a Morris minor sedan and it was painted black and had a big red back spider on the trunk, hence it was called the "Red Back". It was an awesome little beast.
Probably not gonna happen since he's not rolling with them anymore, now he makes videos with Donut Media, but I would love to see him come with the street car or the F4586.
Such a wonderful drug... Adrenaline! "Whole different atmosphere inside the car now" dude said he was shaking a little after those burnouts, nothing like 500 HP mainlined straight to the brain to give you that adrenaline rush!
"If you can't sleep with it or eat it, chrome it!". Motto for life right there. Cool guy with a cool story and so does his car. It looks like the series of model cars they had for a number of years called "Muscle Machines"
Heard of them even seen a few on the teli but didn't know Morris Minor made pick up's. You need to put that on a shirt "....chrome it" that's real old time gearheads/carnuts and we need more of them. And Jeff prove my point I made about the 69 blue camaro looking like a real life toy car with an actual toy car of his build lol love it.
Best episode yet! Living in the UK I've seen my fair share Morris Minors, or Moggie's as they're affectionately known. I've seen plenty of modified one's but this is bonkers. Love it.
one of my favorite DTS so far a.morris minor I'm from the UK and born in 67 so no these cars back in the day worked on them when I trained as a mechanic when I left school not many left now I can only think of one in my town we used to hot rod them a lot back in the day them and ford escorts and a few others good job to the owner and to the hoonigans for showing us on DT the owner was cool and down for some scumbagary
As someone form the uk i watch things in the USA and see cool America classics for $1000 but now the tables have turned Americans seeing cars you can buy over hear in the uk for the equivalent of $800.
both my parents first cars were morris minor, the panel vans have a wooden frames in the back!!, so good. They are pretty cool in uk because theres still quite a few left which is rare for cars this age.
"If you cant sleep with it or eat it chrome it" shirt please Brian. I can see John doing a 50's pin up girl eating a sandwich or something dope like that. Ill take the first sample please Scotto. lol. Great episode as always.
A 50's pin up girl sitting sexily in/on a chrome truck eating a delicious sandwich... lol :D
I would like this but it currently has 69 likes
I love seeing these older guys with crazy cars. Something about the connection they make with you guys seems to put the biggest smiles on their faces since they see how much you guys enjoy it.
Bring on more of the old timers.
The history of this truck is probably the coolest episode on any of the hoonage shows. So cool
I can’t believe you guys didn’t put a camera in the bed for the burn out!!! I can’t believe it
Taymours truuu 😭😭😭
Give Zack his own segment, and give me Zack's shades.

Make some Hoonigan branded shades like Zack has.
That dude aways puts a smile upon my face. No matter how shitty my day was. Thanks Zack.

THANK YOU FOR BEING A OUTLET FOR PEOPLE TO SHARE CARS OTHER COULD NEVER SEE YOU ARE ALL AMZING PEOPLE
FINALLY maybe this sick ass build will encourage sending some love to that sema-scam of a Ute
Harsh but true. I don't blame Hoonigan for being busy but they could've done better on that thing.
The Viewer formerly known as Prince also Darnall started it then quit.
In case the throttle sticks you can say "oh shit"

that dish is bigger then my future….
M. Hayes shit this comment is deep
Than* your future. I think I see your problem....
too bad you can't get paid for amazing comments
Let me repeat what you commented in the way it would be spoken: "That dish is bigger. Then, my future."
2018 and there are still grammar nazis ... move on to something greater than just correcting grammar on the internet.
Sick piece of history right there!!

you must hate top gear
chair362 😂😂😂 Nope just was brought up on Morris Minors and Mini's
Speed Obsession I love how just the intake section of the chevy in it now is just as big as the original engine
Speed Obsession you should be offended? TF is wrong with you..

Cool one off build! Amazing story, this guy's carrying the torch of his family. He's got hot rod in his DNA.
I love the look on his face hearing the cut offs. It's like him hearing the motor fire for the first time.
Love this guy; all the background, serious car brought back from the dead, humble as can be.

I LOVE your Morris Minor Ute, Jeff Carr! A great family history with that car...keep it FOREVER !
Our family car was a Morris minor van, also in grey. Me and my sister sat on the wheel arches in the back for hours and hours when we went on holiday. Happy days.
I still can't believe I watched that truck spin those massive MT's. Gloriousness
Thank you for the headphone warning. The .0002 seconds you gave me to turn down my volume before the burnout was really helpful
I live in Australia and my dad used have a Morris minor sedan and it was painted black and had a big red back spider on the trunk, hence it was called the "Red Back". It was an awesome little beast.
I'd love to meet this guy in person, seems so humble and enjoyable to hang out with.. Shame not many people like him exist nowadays
I can't imagine life without Daily Transmission...
When is Ryan Tuerck coming to the Donut Garage?
BeBobFerrari99 this needs to happend
BeBobFerrari99 forreal he seems to be the most down dude with breaking shit
Probably not gonna happen since he's not rolling with them anymore, now he makes videos with Donut Media, but I would love to see him come with the street car or the F4586.
What an amazing story to go with such an amazing truck. Hats off to that gentleman.
Love this history behind this thing and the fact that he’s got all those pictures!
That dude was a hell of a good sport. What a badass truck with a rich history.

"If you can't sleep with it or eat it, chrome it!". Motto for life right there. Cool guy with a cool story and so does his car. It looks like the series of model cars they had for a number of years called "Muscle Machines"

When i saw tha thumbnail i was thinkin only one guy can host this episode. Design daddy
I never thought I'd see the day where kikawa is putting water down for some burnouts. The transformation is beginning.
I noticed this a few episodes ago. Had to check some old videos to confirm. I really like that animated Hoonigan logo at the end of the video!
Very nice dt guys insane looking engine, thank you Jon for having the guest!
These episodes are the best damn coffee companion any man could ask for.
Thats one crazy Morris Minor as a British guy i love what he has done to it
Thumbs up for Kikawa pouring water for the burnout!

BY FAR the BEST sounding LS..... EVER!
These are the builds I love. Different
I think the salons are one of the most beautiful looking cars.
I came to see an epic legendary beast and i left with enlightenment!
Holy shit what a cool dude and truck. Look at that smile on his face revving it and talking about it. Wish I can be that happy with a car someday
That little thing is sick. We have a few in Australia but i haven't seen one that looks that mad!
Saw this on the road today and thought to myself, "that'd be perfect for DT". Top recommended when I get home... lol
Do " A beer With" Jeff Carr prob has some epic OG stories!
I know this guy personally. He’s been my dad and moms friends since before I was born. Guaranteed he will bring some epic stories to share.
HOON THE FORKLIFT ! 💙
one of my new faves, that truck is sick with it!
you guys read racecar engineering. RESPECT!!
That guy was so juiced that he got some burnouts in his truck. If you can’t eat it or sleep with it CHROME IT!!! Best line ever.
