I still think that Minotaur VS Blacksmith is still one of the funniest battles out there. The face expressions, sounds and commentators losing their minds says it all.
These two commentators make these battles exhilarating with their funny and exciting commentary . I have watched older battlebots and when there is no commentary it's dull
It might not be very effective most of the time but Warhead is such a cool robot, that fight against Complete Control is one of my favourites of all time.
Why do they sometimes build robots in such a way that they cannot free themselves from the supine position? They realize by now that it is always possible for a robot to fall on its back.
If you're talking about Bombshell, that bot was modular so for every fight they recombined the parts in different ways to make it most optimal against their opponent (or they tried at least). Problem was that a lot of those configurations couldn't run upside down and they only found out in the arena if that was the case. If you're talking about Nightmare, that is a very old bot and although at some point it had a way to self-right, it was basically broken and they just welded it fixed. Robots can also do what is called "the thing". Basically, every robot has a certain position it can end up in where it gets stuck, can't self-right and it's almost guaranteed that the bot will end up in that position during a fight. In the case of other bots, usually they're designed to self-right from most positions but require their weapon for it to work, so if the weapon is down they can get stuck like that.
nice I was just watching season 4 on here so this season 2 recap is nice because I didn't watch previous seasons since it was never available in my area but I will continue from 4 and on
Gonna be honest the best battle of Worlds 2 was in all essence, Blacksmith vs Minotaur, that was one duo of haymaker after haymakers, Blacksmith with it's hammer and drive, Minotaur with the drum spinner of death, both threw haymakers like a title fight
It never fails to bring smile on the face when Tombstone destroys its opponent :) i want more Ray and Tombstone in new seasons + no something hidden rules behind camera that tells he cant obliterate his opponents the way he did in earlier seasons

They are still allowed to. But they don't out of respect for the other builders because of the time, effort, and especially money that goes into these things. The grand prize for winning the event doesn't even cover some teams expenses
