I didn't understand why people made their own sticker books before this video. I'm definitely going to start with pulling all my letter sheets and go from there. Great insight! Thanks!
I love the create your own books, I have another option for duplicate books though, I cut them apart and collate but then tie a ribbon through the top so I can keep the original cover and band at bottom. 👍🏼🥰
I just went and ordered 10 of these create your own sticker books. Thank you for sharing. My categories are going to be 1. ABC's 2. 123's 3. Spring 4. Summer 5. Fall 6. Winter 7. Quotes 8. Holiday (list/words) 9. Dots-bullet points 10. Plain boxes
I took this suggestion from you when you did the 1st video on doing this....I went through all my sticker books and broke them down. I broke them down by season, alphabet, icons, blk quotes, colored quotes, blk bxs, colored bxs, animals, girls, etc....The ones I couldn't put in these I used the clear protector sheets to make my own notebook and inserting in sleeves and dividers to separate the categories. I just couldn't handle going through all those books for a particular sticker and get either overwhelmed or distracted from my original thought of what I had originally planned...lol...luv.luv this way!!🤣🤣
I did much the same as you Desiree. Broke them down by season, colored boxes, black quotes, icons, etc. It was getting so frustrating to flip and flip looking for the right sticker that planning was not fun anymore. And with ADHD I always got distracted by another sticker and would forget what I was actually looking for, UGH !!
I loved making my DIY stickerbooks. especially for the functional stickers I always look for.. thanks for the tips/suggestions. especially the quote one!
I use a lot of these. I’m a lot more organized with my stickers collection. I can find things so much easier than rooting through many sticker books to find one quote or whatever. Thanks for a few new ideas like with my squad girls.
I don't use alphabet letters often, that is what I pull out of every book, that and the sheets that just say "birthday", "party" or all of the Holiday names. I pull those and it makes it easier all around!
Oh yes that's another great thing to do. I forgot about that! I need to pull out the stickers I would never use in a spread too that would save a lot of time when I am flipping through books. Thanks Kate
A few year ago when I started with the sticker books I was taking them apart and putting them into categories. (i.e. words, small boxes. large boxes, decorative, etc.) I still couldn't find the right stickers at the right moment without looking through everything!
Oh no! I'm trying to keep the categories to only the stuff that I am constantly looking for...so far it is working but I could see how it could get out of control real fast lol
Literally doing this while watching your video, lol. I don't have nearly the amount of books you have, but I was still getting frustrated with trying to find what I was looking for. I have 2 colorful boxes books because I had multiples of those. Then I just made a quotes book. Now I am doing functional words and icons. Then I will probably do one for bullet points and check lists.
I was against pulling apart my sticker books until I got engaged and realized I will be moving into my fiancé’s house next year. I love the create your own sticker packs. I also liked your filler paper idea. 😃😃😃
That's awesome! I was super against it too but so happy this works for me now. I also really like that they still look and feel like I am using a regular sticker book when they are in these packs. Thanks for watching Norinne!
When I recently doubled my number of books (from 4 to 8), I pulled out all the alphabet pages because I hate having to try remembering which book has which style. Now I may do that with a couple of other categories, too.
I guess it's because I'm not a planner but I didn't understand a lot of things that were being placed together. I use binders that have been around for a long time that hold 12 by 12. That seems to be working for now, I was hoping you would have even a better idea. binder become cumbersome after awhile.
I only use this system for my most used stickers that I want to categorize. This system also only works for Happy Planner sticker books which are for planning. Sorry this isn’t an idea that can work for you, hopefully you will be able to find something better 🤗
I've been torn about this and I finally decided not to take apart my sticker books. Instead, I've been cataloging every sticker in the Happy Planner sticker books that I own in a google sheet, so I can use multiple filters to find what I'm looking for (like quarter-size orange boxes, or black quotes about confidence, or a circle sticker with a taco on it). Eventually, I'll probably share it, but I only have 20 books cataloged so far.
Check out Mojo_JojoPlans, she has a series of videos showing which book has certain kinds of stickers. She has covered a lot of specific types of stickers. Might be helpful to you.
Impresssively specific!: circle with taco on it! I would also love to see that! Even if you have only 20 books, i would love to see how you put it together!
@@Happy2planwithDesiree Thanks! To show you the Happy Planner stickers I've cataloged so far, I added a link to the About section of my UA-cam channel called Sticker Book Inventory. Click the link and hit the button to Make a Copy. From there, you can use the little funnel icons at the top of each column to sort A to Z, or to see only certain stickers. To filter a column, click Clear, then scroll through the list and click any items you'd like to see. I'm cataloging each sticker by these categories: sticker book, sticker type, box size (if applicable), primary color, secondary color, sticker text, decorative element, and theme. You can use as many filters as you like if you want to get super specific, as long as the sticker you're looking for meets all the criteria. To remove a filter, click Select All in that column. Sorry if this is all basic stuff that you know already! I was new to using filters in google sheets, so I figure I'd share. Once I have more books included (it's slow going!), I'll probably make a short video showing how to use it. 🙂
And you and planner friends can exchange according to your tastes. Someone might hate black quotes, but love the foil quotes. You might want to gift the lettering sheets if you decide to de-stash. I keep hesitating on happy planner because I'd only want some of each book and the rest would be wasteful, unless you get in a group of people who trade!
I didn’t buy this item but bought them out of all the snap-in Sticker protector sleeves. And Hobby Lobby had them for $5.99 / 12 pk and they are 10.99 on HP! Regular Hobby Lobby prices no coupon or sale. I make the disc bound category books with those and no more gluing or sticking to paper pieces.
@@kimberleywerner9752 I noticed that as well! When they first came out Joannes regular full price was 699 and hobby lobby was 599. Then about nine months ago all of a sudden Joann marked theirs up to 1099 and so did the HP website but not HL :)
What categories do you have for the make-your own books? I currently have the alphabet, holidays, bullets (game charger). I need to do the same for the squad girls and the black quotes! So many projects! 😅
You can find them on The Happy planner website and you can also find them at Joann and Hobby Lobby www.anrdoezrs.net/click-100169500-13985150?url=https%3A%2F%2Fthehappyplanner.com%2Fproducts%2Fcreate-your-own-sticker-pack%3F_pos%3D12%26_sid%3D874519871%26_ss%3Dr
Yesssss I agree! I need to do this because it will definitely be a time saver!!! Sometimes they just fall out anyway and this would be super helpful, I might have to put all randoms together lol #challengeme 😁😁😁

I've done this too but I condensed the sheets to keep from having so many half empty pages. I like your theme idea

That's awesome! So happy it's working out for you
Thank god I'm not the only one

My fave collection is my "Alphabet" book. These DIY books take time to assemble but they are so worth it!

I found it really useful for the quotes. Saves me so much time!!!!

I have done the same with some of my books, it's been a game changer when planning a spread. Thanks for all the ideas!
Yes total game changer! thanks for watching Cindy!
i took the pages apart and flipped the cover to show the blank pages and listed what was in the book
When I recently doubled my number of books (from 4 to 8), I pulled out all the alphabet pages because I hate having to try remembering which book has which style. Now I may do that with a couple of other categories, too.
Nice! Yes it's a great way to organize all of your stickers to find them easier
Your technique makes a lot of sense!
Very helpful! Love your ideas for categories. Right now i have separated books on rings, and they are a mess! I will have to try the HP organizers.
Yes! that's another great way to organize your books. I almost did the same with mine, but then they came out with these packs

@@teddited9682 Thank you! See my reply to Desiree for how to access and use my very nerdy sticker inventory. 🤓
What about your other name brand sticker books? Are you organizing them, if so how?
Great video and it does make so much sense! I happen to have one of the make your own sticker book packs so perhaps I will give it a try😉

Definitely going to do this
Where do you get the little metal brad thing at the top?
It’s comes with the pack when you buy it! Everything is included for you to make your own pack
I just saw this in stock today at Hobby Lobby.

Oh nice! I need to check that out
I’ve started to do this and need to buy more of those HP packs. Another great idea with some categories that I hadn’t thought of creating. 💙💛🪴
It's so nice to have them organized this way!
