Ladies, very informative. Thank you. I suggest that you also study Common Law Jurisdiction and you will understand that we do not have to pay parking tickets, taxes, electricity, gas, TV Licences, Mortgages and water. The land and it's natural resources belongs to the public/people.
Hate to burst your bubble but whoever has told you that you don’t have to pay parking tickets (not parking charge notices) taxes, gas, tv licences etc has mislead you big time. Please do yourself a favour and stop believing the charlatans who tell you otherwise.

I got 2 penalty notice for parking on land which is owned by my landlord and no where near the enforcement area.

Hello, don't know if you still read comments on older video's, if you do a small bit of advice would be appreciated.
G.P. moved to a new building with a car park, I had an appointment and used the car park for the first time. Have now received a fine-Private company- As I did not register my number plate. Due to being unwell I parked and headed straight into the surgery, apparently there are signs outside but not inside informing drivers what they should do. As said I headed straight into the surgery and did not see any outside signs. I have appealed but am I liable to pay on the info I have given you? Thanks.

Hi, I got a parking charge notice through Euro car parks. My sister had a GP appointment I drove her there. I didn't have masked so I stayed in the car. I have sent off an appeal with the appointment info, I will return tomorrow at the gp and take some pictures of whether their was any visible signs that I might have missed. thank you for sharing. xx

What if I was picking up food and parked my vehicle in a loading bay. There was no 10min grace period.
I received a parking charge notice for parking at the Sheffield Children's hospital, despite pointing out as on the sign to reception I would likely be longer than the permitted drop off time and gave them my car registration as requested on the sign, I actually received it 3 months later ! It was revoked, better to make a note of the name of the person you dealt with at reception.
Interesting, i had a parking charge notice as i had pressed the wrong parking code when using the Ring Go app, 3 locations came up & i thought i had pressed the correct number (they are quite close together on the app). I didn't think anything of it until i received a letter asking for +£100.... i will be trying to contact the owner of the land but no joy so far.... any suggestions?
I dont pay any of them and haven't done since 2010, the only mail i get is from bailiffs plus they're alway knocking my door, luckily enough i dont live there, i rent it out, the tenant has to deal with them, but know Gladstone solicitors have taken one up from 2017, they're threatening to put a charge on my property, is this possible over a parking ticket

I've had two parking notices from private company at the same car park.
The first one I appealed and lost. After losing, I contacted the supermarket who said they would have been able to help if I had gone to them directly first but now it had been escalated to the trade body, they couldn't help.
The second time I got an exact same ticket at the exact same car park for the exact same time period so I did exactly what the supermarket advised and contacted them straightaway. They waived it on my behalf.
I wish I knew about that waiver process.
It sounds like I get a lot of tickets but not really. In 8 years, I've got 2 tickets and it's because they allow a short stay only.

As a viewer, your eyes appear a third of the way up the screen which makes you look tiny and lots of blank wall. Perhaps that was your intended look. Photography advises eye level normally is two-thirds up the screen so we can see more of you. Your thoughts?

Hi can you please advise me I went to asda in South Shields in the car park you have to pay £1 to park but you get your £1 back when you finish your shopping I didn't have a £1 to put in the machine even though I was not in the shop for very long my point is why should I have to pay for parking at asda to do my shopping when the other asda in Boldon has big car park and you don't have to pay for parking I received a parking notice from parking eye do I need to pay it

Hello ! I am calling from Australia and got a Parking Invoice from ParkingEye telling me not entitled to park for 1 hr 20 mins during my hotel stay. This kind of thing never happen in Australia. No boom gate in the Hotel Carpark, otherwise I know I need to pay/validate the parking ticket. Just use a sneaky camera to scam you.

My Wife and I are seperated and it seems she picked up a parking fine on our local town high street,I myself spend much time abroad working and am effectively no fixed abode in the UK so didnt recieve any corrispondence from the council (both of us having moved from the matrimonial home for in excess of 6 months)rather by the a letter from a debt collection agency and not the local council which had I had recieved would have paid or at least challenged.The vehicle was registered to myself, but it seems to me they are playing a game when I myself had nothing to do with the alleged infringement but am guilty anyway?.Or imagine if I owned a gun but my brother used it to shoot a person but Im at fault for owning a gun?.Thanks for the posts ladies they are very enlightening and would love you point of veiw on this matter.x
They can only prosecute the driver but if you are only the keeper, you may not be the driver and in law, you cant be charged for an offence committed by someone else and under Data Protection Act 1998, you are not required to give details of the driver, thats up to the prosecution to prove.
Also, please look at your registration Document and see the first line in BOLD.
Looks like Private Parking firms have a lot of proving to do and i never, ever answer their letters.
A shut trap catches no flies and i can paper the walls with invoices i have received over the years and have never paid one.

Hi, what happens if you get a county court claim form, asking you to pay for unauthorised parking?
You need to either defend the claim or pay it, if you ignore it or don't successfully defend the claim, you'll end up with a county court judgment.
I had a private parking ticket they stated I was park in a different area than I was actually park in I appeal and they reject it stating it doesn’t matter the area was only for residential parking and for that reason my fine stand how can the accuse me of parking somewhere that I was even in !
A few months back me and my girlfriend went to a restaurant and we put our REG into the terminal in the reesturant so we didnt have to pay parking ..cut a long story short a few weeks later a letter comes in the post saying we didnt pay for parking
anyway we went to the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager who confirmed we were in the resturant at the time as he remembered us
we phoned the company and asked how we could appeal it and they said we should of done it in writing withing 14 days....we only received the ;letter a few days before the expiry
anyway we sent them proof(a signed letter to say we were in the pub so were not parked illegally)
still not good enough they want £170 pounds, needless to say we are willing to go to court over this ,the terminal obviously didn't register our REG and we have proof we were in the restaurant
Register your car with a Welsh language address which the English parking company will not be able to understand
The law in the UK states that you must register your car in the UK. But the law doesn't say you must register it with the DVLA. So register it in the Chanel Islands or the Isle of Man.

Civil enforcement ltd, a private parking company, gave me dozens of tickets unlawfully as I had a valid car parking permit at the hospital (I was staff). They were all cancelled. I moved cities and forwarded my mail to my new address and kept getting threatening letters from them. I tried getting the parking guy from the hospital to cancel this one but guess he didn’t so I ended up paying the fee as I was sick of getting the letters. Surprised to find out last week I have a CCJ from them! Checked the claim and it’s all rubbish fees and they put an old address of mine in the court form! Hence why I did not respond to the court claim! Now I’m not sure if I should just pay to get this over with.. any advise?
A CCJ can be kept on your record for many years so I would suggest you dispute this matter; especially since you should not have received the tickets in the first place. I would suggest you write to Civil Enforcement Ltd and the court to explain your position. Within your explanation explain that the only reason you paid previously was to prevent any hassle. Send proof that you worked at the hospital and any other evidence that will help your claim.
Good video ladies! I received a fine from Euro Car Parks accusing me of not buying a ticket which is false. I later realised I accidentally entered my old cars registration in the ticket machine causing my ticket. I appealed evidencing the ticket & my bank statement but lost surprisingly. I appealed to POPLA but also lost.
I have advised Euro Car Parks that I refuse the invoice and will not be paying. I’m now getting letters from debt recovery plus. I’ve read online I should ignore these letters. Would you agree with this advice?
Hi, Mark. This matter could escalate so I would suggest you write to debt recovery plus to explain your position. Unfortunately, with this incident, although an honest mistake, you are in the wrong and therefore they could persist on you paying the charge.
i read that the private company has to pay the fees for the courts so they may give up as it will cost so much in fees and court costs to recover a little amount they depend on scaring you ....

Hi I got a ticket from a private parking company operating in my resident I am resident with a permit but my wife parked there for 10 mins while unloading shopping and was giving a ticket I would also like to add at the time of them issuing my wife a ticket 3 out of 4 parking signs were sprayed with paint making them none readable.. I took pictures to proof this any advice would be helpful
You should send in any evidence you have and also explain the circumstances surrounding your wife merely unloading shopping from the car as opposed to parking.
Something that affects a lot if us which no one has ever addressed to my knowledge - is the predicament those of us with company vehicles are in. These vehicles belong (usually) to a lease company. The lease company get the pcn - and immediately pays it. They then add their handling fee, typically £25, on top then approaches your employer who deducts the fine and handling charge from your salary. It means any cowboy parking firms effectively have easy access straight to your wages. Most of these parking firms have a clause saying that if you pay, you ‘accept responsibility’ and so no appeal is allowed. I have frequently lost £65 or £75 quid when visiting customers and parking exactly where they told me to. I have even had emails of apology saying there was an administrative mistake and I should not have been fined. Too late - try getting the money back once it has been paid….
If the firm you are delivering to or contracted to owns the car park you should contact them and ask them to contact the Car Park Operator. You may need to prove that you were serving the owner with your work log. The owner won't do this for everyone - if they do it too often they may have to compensate the Operator, so have the proof ready and play nice, and sort it before the lease company pays up, because the refund has to go to the payer.

If bailiffs are being instructed, you've got a county court judgment against you. If you have grounds to dispute the CCJ, you can apply to set-aside.
Hi i was wondering if you could help. I got a fine for driving through a outdoor station. I had to because there was road workers in both directions and i had driven out of my workplace car park. Can i reference the bill of rights for this? any advice?

Unfortunately the bill of rights won’t be relevant for this; however, you can send pictures with an appeal to show that you had no other option but to use the outdoor bus station. Also, take pictures of any roads surrounding the area as proof that there were no diversion signs.

There are different routes you can go down depending on who issued the ticket. If it is a private parking ticket you may want to appeal directly to the trade association using the links in the description box. However, if you were parked unlawfully and you do not have any evidence to justify this then it is likely that you will have to pay the charge.

Wonder what happens if you register the car in one of your toddlers names, would they be fined too, taken to court for obstruction for failing to provide the drivers details, issued with a warrant for arrest for failing to turn up for a summons ?
I guess if there was a Police investigation then they might seek to charge the parent with some sort falsification of documents. If they got a default CCJ against the name then it could affect relatives

Normally a letter is sent out every time confirming you have breached their contract obligations. however if you did not receive this you can put in a N7 and N9 application into the court if they are not willing to reduce it but approach them first.
however as you have 8 tickets I would rather use a defence such as the signage displayed was not clear or not in the right place.

Any "alleged" contract is between the driver/landowner, and the registered keeper has no duty (in Scotland) to identify the driver.

You guys are nuts, who in their right mind would pay a private parking firm? Challenge them but expect to lose the appeal, after that its a game of cat and mouse but these cowboy firms nearly always make mistakes. Be prepared to go to court but as long as you respond, challenge and raise queries they will probaly tire of you before court as let's face it it actually costs them more to go to court than they will get back.

You may be able to dispute the fact they got your vehicle type wrong; however, if you were parking incorrectly then it is likely that you will still have to pay.

So it clearly showed it is a fiat.i said go to dvla and find that reg on a ford it does'nt exist. After 2day i got an email and they cancelled the fine so thankyou.

We are shareholders, we own the streets since we pay through our taxes (which don’t get used for infrastructure but instead go to a “family”). The ticket was given to the “car” not the “person”( and I don’t mean the living man/woman). This is all commerce and its all rooted in Legal name fraud. Send all tickets back right away.🙏🏼

I have received a letter from a debt collection company called DCBL asking me to pay £170 fine with no right to appeal. I parked a long time ago for just 25min in a private hotel parking lot and went inside the hotel and asked a question and walked out and drove away. What steps do I need to take now? i certainly will not make any payment.

@@losangeles1973 Do not reply to them. Only reply if you get a "Letter before claim" which means they are going to take you to court! Most of the debt collection agents are just part of the same company and send you scary sounding letters hoping you'll pay up. It cost them money to take you to court which does not always cover their costs. Take a look at:-

All these experts mention trade bodies as if they are some form of charities.Anyway most parking cos are members of trade bodies anyway - and they're savvy enough to have correct signage.Besides they are legal invoices as these parking cos operate under uk laws created by uk lawyers and adminstered by uk judges
Doesn’t cover residential parking on private land, and subsequent contract law which is the main issue affecting residents of gated communities all over the uk, perhaps this was too difficult a subject for people who think they know the law when it comes to parking on private property.

Thry will threaten to take u to court. I did not pay some at all and they left it. If they do u can defend it in court it will cost them more its a scam and a money making scheme and this uk government is allowing this scam to happen😊

Do not pay private parking tickets. Example, If you’re park at the grocery store just take the ticket to the stores customer service area. Just say you were at the store and they will they take your ticket away.

@@robjavier8064 how is that rubbish? Only government officers from the municipality can ticket you and you have to pay for it. For Private parking areas, they can issue tickets but they are not enforceable. The only thing they can do is have your car towed.

@@robjavier8064 in Canada, it’s not enforceable for private companies to chase parking infraction fines. Only Municipality govern by the city can seek fines. Usually they will work with Revenue Canada to garnish your refunds; or they can work with ICBC to make sure those fines are paid before you can renew your license. Whenever I get ticketed by a private company, I give those tickets to the store that uses them. I’ve never paid ever!
Except in Sports Direct, the manager don't gave a s..t when I returned £140 worth of products to pay the £100 and told them stick up them in your a..s as I'll never spend a penny there. They don't care about customers. I keep my promise and encourage everyone to do so, there are competitors everywhere to spend the money. Idiots...
My van is registered to my dad, he got a letter up in Scotland that I had parked for more than 3 hours in Morrison’s car park in camden, london my dad owns the van but I converted it into a camper van and live in it full time, I’m all over the place, Spain, Norway, back to london etc however I am responsible for the fine but I have no address, where do I stand here, bearing in mind English law has no authority in Scotland unless it’s a national crime like murder etc. Should I just ignore the ticket?
You should never just ignore your ticket. It may be best for your dad to respond explaining the circumstances.

Received Private Parking Charge. Appealed to company on grounds that they delivered PCN outside relevant period. Company replied saying they had complied. No offer of paying reduced fee or taking appeal to POPLA. How do I stand?

Pls help, invoices sent to old home address, DVLA had wrong details. Now new legal letters have been sent to new address threatening to go to court. Scared and fines are 1k. This was for a gym car park and on every occasion I went to gym but car was not registered on gym database.

don't ignore a county court action. If you defend with good reason, you are likely to win, but if you lose you can pay within 30 days and no record counts against you
So my number plates was cloned and placed on a stolen car, the perpetrators were storing this car in a private car park. The ticket company sent a ticket through, I have tried in vain to settle it but they simply ignore phone call and letters, instead they have opened a case with the county court business centre, I have counter clamed for harassment, alarm and distress. I have insisted it goes to a proper county court, I now have a date in Croydon County Court, I will of course turn up with my police crime reference number and the case will be dismissed but I bet you anything they don't turn up!! Utter clowns.
Update. Yeah they emailed me dropping the case. Clowns.
Send in for a litigant in person fees. Stack up every penny that its costing you, plus hourly wage for every hour you are putting into it. When their lawyer doesn't show up and the case is awarded to you, then the jugde will look at what you are owed.

I’ve had a fine for parking in my own car park space (allocated to my apartment) because I didn’t show the valid permit in the windscreen.
The afternoon before the fine was issued, I received my first covid jab (proof of this from the NHS) the jab caused me to feel nauseous, tired, out of breath and putting the permit on my car was the last thing on my mind…
ZZPS keep sending me threatening letters, adding fees to the charge and claiming to take me to court. I’ve fought back stating the car space was my own, I haven’t done anything illegal or criminal. The signage states that parking is allowed by two means;
1) A valid parking permit (to be visible in windscreen)
2) pre-authorised vehicles
So why isn’t a system in place to register the cars of the residents whom live in the apartment complex!?
I had live in the apartment nearly two years before Parking Solutions Ltd have put in the place the parking rules etc and in my tenancy contact is does not state that a permit is needed to use the allocated parking space provided.
Please advise anyone? Am I doing the right thing by sticking to the militant approach? Am I in wrong?
Having this same issue. You would think the building management would keep a record of the tenants regs to give to the private companies. I now have to pay £160 as the building management will not help remove this notice against me
@@TA-or3xq it’s been 5 month now and I haven’t paid a single penny! They kept sending threatening letters and adding extra fees and in the end I called them and said just take me to court and we will settle it there because I’ve got more then enough evidence to win, such as the tenancy agreement contract which doesn’t state I have to show a valid permit, my NHS card to show I was jabbed the afternoon before the fine and the fact that it states on the car park signage that there are two means of pass;
1. A valid permit shown on the windscreen
2. Pre-authorised vehicles (which building management haven’t registered)
After saying this on the phone I’ve never heard from anyone again 😬🙌🏼
