Even if they don't elaborate on the current story, just making even an unrelated expansion with this engine, like they've done with AC games in the past, would be quite welcome.
I don't think AC6 as a base game needed to be longer, it was perfect as it is. I would love to see some expansion though, maybe give us some missions in the past when the Institute was still functional.
I just love this world, and I want to know more of the story in Rubicon. I want to spend more time in this world. I remember many people pointing out that 617 shows up in the teaser trailer, missing an arm and picking it up out of the wreckage. If you remember the teaser, they matched the AC parts from that scavenger AC at the beginning with the same arm missing from 617 on the cover of the game. The fact 617 is on the cover, and had a prominent place in the story trailer, implies a story that they haven't told, and have only hinted at, and there is potential for an expansion.
Generally the non numbered sequels are connected, but loosely. For example, verdict day takes place 100 years after 5.... but both vd and 5 take place in an entirely different universe from 3
There are so many great games coming up. I don't know which to get. I can't have them all :-( Therefore I haven't played AC6 yet, but since it is FromSoft and people with the same taste in games as me, including you, have said that it is a great game, I will buy it eventually. Since I haven't played it yet I can't answer your question. But I will say this: As long as the AC series doesn't push out the development of more DS/soulslike games, Im all for it continuing as a series. Then again we have Lies of P and Lords of the fallen coming up as well - and let's not forget the Elden Ring DLC, which I predict will be MASSIVE, almost like a sequel. A great time to be interested in top notch good games :-)

I need MOOAARR!!!! Working on all S after NG++ and still enjoying it a lot. The mechanics and fighting is so satisfying.

If FromSoft weren't interested in making another Armored Core game... Why did they make another Armored Core game?
I reckon we're in for more!

Armored Core is From's baby. I highly doubt they'd pass on the opportunity to strike while the iron's hot.
Im so happy with AC6 and i really hope it gets its sequel or DLC like what VD is to 5
I just finished AC6 (perfect Ending) and I crave more ;(

“Armoured Core 6: Half a Dozen of the Other”
At the very least I see this game getting some DLC. Perhaps an expansion to the arena
If I see Armored Core but not from software that's not armored core anymore 😢
well banco knows bamco can not make a good gundam game... when there were some good ish ones back in the day like CCA and from soft unicorn
