Such good news to know that the French drain is doing its job and how exciting to see the first fix on the electrics. Well done folks and a huge thank you for letting us all share this amazing journey that you’re on.
Shout out from Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Two troupers are keeping busy. We love your videos and the interaction between you two, We are blessed to be able to watch. Thank you. ❤❤❤
Although this latest chapter may not be as physically taxing, it probably had a bit of mental stress involved with it as decisions were being made that would be harder to change afterwards. I enjoy watching you guys... Gives us inspiration on our own projects.
Good afternoon Victoria & Ricky! What can’t Ricky do? Now electrical .. amazing!Victoria back at pruning her olive trees again. Your both amazing 🙏🙏🙏Blessings
You two have come so very far and it's really nice to see you finally get a chance to work inside now. You're closer to the finish line so keep plugging away at it! Love you two, the dogs, and the progress that you're making!!! ❤❤❤
That was the best Bottle Bottle advert I've seen on a Vlog so far. Thanks for the laugh. Really look forward to your vlogs each week. Love watching your attention to details in the build. 😍
You'd want to keep your power conduits as straight as possible. Else replacing the wires in case they fail, is going to be close to impossible. Tip, lead neutral to your switches in case you want to use smart switches in the future.
Brilliant work and your not hanging about ! Glad the French drain worked . As to those giant egg cups you made ..LOL Is this a hint about becoming Ostridge farmers ?
if you used bluetooth lights and switches, you could avoid a lot of the digging out of the wall. Becxause the switch does not need to connect to the light. Each can just get power from a line that runs along the least obtrusive route. In fact, the switch could even be battery powered.
That was my thought - when wiring is easy I preferred hardwired but the battery powered ZigBee or ZWave remote switches are really good especially for a small space like this. A single lithium cell powers them for up to 10 years.
@ The new tech actually poses less safety risk than the old tech. A bluetooth transmitter powered by a 3-5 volt battery is not going to electricute anyone or cause any fires. So, my guess is that it's not actually regulations. Rather, your electrician is just old school and isn't up with the new tech. Or maybe he is just protecting his job. Because in most places you don't need permits or an electrician to install 12 volt lighting, Keep that in mind when you get into outdoor lighting.
Great video. I think that rainy weather spread far and wide. We had sunshine here in Bedfordshire, UK yesterday and Friday. Your hard work has paid off in setting the French drain in - well done. All that hole drilling must have been an arm aching job. It's coming together, even more exciting times ahead. Take care, see you on te next one x
I played your opening 'nature' footage over and over; how restful and calming. You two (oops - four!) are enveloped in such a healthy environment - but you know this of course. That footage is always a treat; thank you.
Happy to hear the French draining system is working like I said team work makes dream work just love how everything you do is always done so smartly thanks
Just a quick note on a product that would go well with your Bottle Bottle - Bottle. You may even pursue a sponsorship for it as I haven't seen anyone else being sponsored. Last summer I went on a 3,500-road trip from the east coast, USA, to Arizona. I knew I would be consuming a lot of water along the way and didn't want to purchase water in plastic bottles. I researched water filter bottles and found GOpure Pod Portable Water Purifier. It is a 2-inch water filter that you put in your own carry bottle - like Bottle Bottle, and 1 Pod will purify the equivalent of up to 2,000 single-use water bottles. I am not a representative of GOpure. I just love the product and how now I don't need to drink my water from plastic bottles. I love your channel and enjoy watching the progress on your tiny house. You both are such hard workers. Keep up the good work.
Hello from Buckinghamshire England, where there’s plenty of rain this week! You guys are such a great team, we enjoy watching your project step by step and send you very best wishes!

Ricky your paint work on the pottery was quite good. I liked the colors and the different widths. If nothing else call them design elements. That's what I say for my knitting projects that don't go as planned. 😂❤
You’re doing great! As a homeowner of an electrician- when installing wiring for outside light- add an extra wire and put in a outdoor electrical socket. For holiday lights as well as any outdoor consistently needed electrical- it will be a great blessing over & over again! ❤ just an idea!
You could also bring a wire from a ceiling location run behind drywall to the edge of the ceiling go through there wall and use weather proof conduit down the wall to an electrical outlet. This would work best in the back or side wall. Note from my hubby! Easier!
Can’t wait to watch this on the TV again tonight hehe. Having watched your channel for so long now, seeing that little notification in the morning that your next episode is out is always pretty exciting. Knowing you have another house to do after this that you don’t have to rush, with everything you’ve learned, makes this one of my favourite YT channels. Thank you for sharing your journey 😊
1st fix is nearly always doable . With the Portuguese sparks. You'll get a proper certificate, best way. Great to see you enjoying an indoor space, downhill from here.
Ok… I’m crazy, I know. But, every time I see you cutting into the stone walls, I wonder if the structure will be compromised. Silly, I’m sure😜 Wonderful video, guys!! I love watching you, your progress and your beautiful relationship! ❤ Blessings!!
So happy to see your French drain is functioning properly! After all you back breaking work, you deserve that success. It’s so enjoyable to watch your progress and team work!
Electrical can be tricky . Leave it to the pros. Are you using your solar ,the grid or a combination of both ? So glad that the french drain work well. We did it on a property we own in Quarteira in Southern Portugal. Victoria, love your exercise routine , I have a similar one I do every morning . Not bad , the pottery looks great . Hope you guys are doing ok. Sending much love❤❤ from Richmond, VA. Harriet, Jim and Yuki 🐶
Electrical doesn't have to be tricky.....you just need to understand the principles..... and, have a bit of common sense....!! .....save a FORTUNE.... DON'T leave it to the pros..... !!!
@@andymccabe6712 I am a electrician , you do need to understand the principles, common sense helps. But complicated wiring , where and what to use? and paying attention to code regulations matter. It’I’ll be running off Solar for starters but we’re working on the new grid connection so if that comes to fruition both the tiny house & main house will run on both solar & mains
The way you’re pruning that olive tree is going to make it so much more productive and easier to collect the olives…! I have a pear tree in my front Garden, that we have “decapitated”… And it is so much more productive and easier to collect the fruit from the tree…Because it all hangs over, instead of us, having to reach up to get the fruit…! Good job…❤❤❤❤x
Be careful falling down the pottery rabbit hole. Fifteen years later I'm still addicted and I sell at markets. That tiny house would make a fabulous pottery studio.
Wondering how many takes it took to do the water bottle bit, so cute , Victoria watching you trying not to laugh to much. You two are so great and positive, think I laughed and smiled through the whole video 🤩
Ricky...when you put in your conduit, I would recommend running a pull string through all of the conduit. If you need to pull more wire in the future, you have that pull string there to pull it through all of the curves and joints cleanly. Also, if you ever pull additional wire like that...be sure to tie a new pull string to the added wire so that you'll still have a pull string available for the future. Good luck with your wiring!!
Hi Scott. In Portugal every cable has to be in conduit & every circuit has to have it's own conduit so we won't ever need to pull any additional cables through. Very different regs here to UK & US
brilliant work yet again folks I hope for the Mezzanine you allowed for a two way switching arrangement so you can switch from either down stairs or up stairs !! Take care folks !!
I watch another channel called Mapperton Live and they use bio-mass to run their heating system. Essentially, it's chipped wood that feeds a furnace that goes to the house, etc etc. What made me think of it is all of the bio-mass you have when you trim the olive trees and then chip them. Something to think about anyway; making nature work for you. Love and hugs from me in New Mexico USA.
Great job on the wiring. Tough lot doing it in a stone wall, but you made it look easy! I didn't know you could prune the olive trees that much. Great job! They'll certainly be easier to reach. Can't wait to see both of you in action next week! Thank you so much for sharing. I love watching your channel.
