Thank you for the upload. I talked to Cherie a few weeks ago and after Joanie is off tour I am hoping to catch up to her. This was a very cool video and yes,I have supported Debbie since the beginning, no reason to stop now! Rock on! I was contemplating flying to California New Years Eve to catch her two shows Joanie's ) but she is going to b e busy and I'll look at touching bases when she gets a break and rest! Cherie is getting my letter to her so she has it by now I presume and I just am thrilled to see this video I can't make hearts but I can give hearts so Heart Heart Heart and keep up the great work!
PSI just found Joanie's LP Glorious Results of a Misspent Youth in pristine condition and added both her Crimson and Clover, I hate Myself, Love is Pain and she Has Lost you, the flip side of Bangles Whiter Shade of Pale form Less than Zero to my jukebox 80s of course Oh sounds wonderful ( Not the album, it is beautiful and i haven't seen a copy of this in years, I think I'll take this album with me back east, as I also have an original charcoal drawn by her youngest fan, and I just gave Cherie her charcoal drawing in October. From twelve to 59 in a blink of an eye, but its just the beginning and we will always be 15 at heart and Runaways! Even on the not so good days! rock on and love your work. Have admired it for a long time now. On my youtube channel I give a little about me and our friendship, and yes she saved my life when 12, and she is just learning about how and when . She has the why I was going to check out, but had no clue she rescued me just in time. And before i check out of Hotel California I need to tell her of so many wonderful outside the industry, and she will be as proud as I am of her and always have been have a Merry Christmas and safe new year!l things she has done for so many Joanie is is the kindest, sweetest, and most caring person i ever knew as a kid, and taught me how to care for other s I didn't know and then a 43 year public service career with a whole bunch of saves, I would have never made, if not for Joanie Marie And Joanie, if you do read this , I sent Cherie a pic of mein late 71 early 72 and I know you will remember that much I also sent pics of my tatttooos, cherrry bomb right arm and my crimson and clover left arm, my thank you for savingmy life. My memorial to Sandy was painful but loving on my chest and i did not send that as it was just days later being her 11th anniversary of passing from cancer herself. I told Cherie I would trade places in a heartbeat with Sandy and that is etched on my heart forever ,under THE RUNAWAYS RULE! It was a hell of a long time ago, but it was just yesterday. Joanie,I will add this much, on Oct 6th I sang Cherry bomb with Cherie, just inches aways from here, and she said she was turning 60 and the band was more like her kids and grandkids. When she got off stage, she came over to me, and I said, cherie, you can call me 60 but YOU will NEVER EVER EVER EVER call Cherie Currie nor Joanie Jett 60. She smiled, and we had a lot of hugs! I said to her softly, a little later, thank you both for taking me back to 75 and I shall always love you both, and gave her a small kiss on her ear, as I whispered thanks you so much! I told her about my youth and the circumstances of my stupid, decision, and how close I came to making it reality, but if not for you, it was going to be reality very soon afterwards; however I was given a guardian angel at that very moment! She said I love you donny and i replied, I love you too Cherie, and she promised that you'd get the letter i wrote to you on the flight; and I made that flight across country just so I could ask Cherie that favor to get you this letter as cancer has entered my life but you got the note in Monroe from friends, that i would be seeing Cherie; pardon the punctuation, I was told by them that security promised to give it to you as i was too ill with cancer to attend so I sent the ladies in my sted! Cherie may have sent you a cpopy of the charcoal I am going to give to you . It is a beautiful drawing , frist meant for me, but I decided, no Joanie Marie Needs the original and Ill frame a copy knowing in your eyes i can feel you from this masterpiece. It is lovely too! the girl.. a friend's daughter, 14 who played bass , lead and rhythm and piano, made the drawing. You'll love it. It is very very very well done! Sometimes i talk too much , but I want you and the world to know how wonderful a human being you have been since childhood, so I can say with certainty , that Joanie Marie, of Randolph Hills saved donny from Monkey Hills in Wheaton Plaza. It was my life that was going to end, so I have no problem giving you more than a little credit for your phenomenal being that you have always been! and finally I can tell you the whole thing and it will make some sense finally! ROCK on girl YOU are the BOMB! with my love and everlasting friendship Donny
Joanie, YOU are looking more beautiful every time i get the chance TO SEE YOU since we were in Jr High School. I pray Cherie gave you my letter, and ill call after Christmas I know you are so busy. You rock so does Debbie and all the girls of the band. Wow you take me back as kids. I just see your smile, your eyes and I am mesmerized and melt! Just like I did at Wheaton Plaza so many times! Love you girl! Always have always will! I just got Crimson and Clover in my juke box and two picture sleeves framed , back and front, I never thought i d be able to find them. I played tommy James version on the planter over and over on many occasions.
