when you think about it, this build is much more realistic as well as generally impressive. i mean, people are still building robots in the post apocalypse, you'd think some people would know how to build a house based off old-world designs instead of spending 200 years scrapping shit together from ruins.
Let's build a house that the Sole Survivor finally deserves after 200 years!! That cordlessVII guy you were talking about sounds like a genius. Oh, for Next week could you possibly do a special Xmas build?
Haha! I was thinking about doing one last week but couldn't really think of anything to build, so I just did the christmas special lol. I'm still trying to think of something though
KRYPTIC GAMING no it's time to stop it's time to stop okay no more where the f*** Are your parents who are your parents I'm going to call Child Protective Services on you it's time to stop
Imagine playing as a man who is broken inside, his beard is unshaven, his hair is a mess, he wears rags and uses nothing but a combat knife and pistol to fight. He is desperate and yearning for death but he knows he can not end it himself, his only solace is his house, he has rebuilt his old house in a new location, he can not stand to be so close to his former home and his wife's resting place but he needs that house to hold onto as a symbol of his waning humanity.
@@CordlessVII maybe you could build a condominium, or maybe a hotel? Too bad there isn't a mod that lets you set up a hotel to earn caps and drive trade for your settlement.
I kinda of wish proper construction pieces were a option in the vanilla game things like log cabins ect instead of ramshackle shanty town bs that is something that results from overpopulation and the ruins of Boston are hardly overpopulated
Great build my dude. Just seeing what's possible with unrestricted mods on xbox and PC makes me angry that Sony hates us, but this build did give me ideas. Thanks again!

You flippin genius!!!! I never knew or thought about doing the trick to add two slanted roof pieces together. I wanted that feature in a previous build I did but had to compromise instead. That just earned you a new sub. Great idea showing non weapon and armor mods like everyone else does. I like building and creating unique buildings for my settlements. Looks like I'm about to binge on your vids. (That sounds wrong)
building tip i hear no one talk about and just learned. you console TCL, then float about selecting, then canceling the selct, and its like the wall or floor piece you selected doesnt exist. Pop on the piece you want, TCL again, and its all good. Alternate to moving pieces.
All we need now is Sims 4 and FO4 to collab so we can save our builds to our library and then we can add them into future settlements at any point, wherever and whenever we want.
Me and my fiancee just watched this video and we loved it. Thank you for the tutorial on how to do the roofs. I will incorperate that tutorial in my settlements. thank you again.
Interesting watching this video & seeing what the OG version of Snappy Housekit looked like.... That mod has definitely come a long way, and it's still my #1 recommendation for anyone looking for a good settlement building mod (at least as far as actual structures are concerned)
That transparent wall has a use with the Wasteland Workshop DLC! Was hoping for a one way wall so spectating fights in an arena would be possible without being attacked by what you release in the cages. This is great!!! I'll have to try it out! BTW, thanks for your video. Tried using this mod yesterday and the snapping was giving me fits. Will be using the tips shown here. Loads of potential in this mod!
Dylan A. yes they are they are probably getting tested by bethesda to and if they aren't safe they are removed instantly notice that using mods can make your game crash once in a while but that doesn't happen much
I love videos like these. However, I have this issue where I've already built up my settlements and then see awesome ideas like this and then decide I want to tear down my settlement and rebuild it to incorporate it... It's not a nice feeling :D But aside from that, I love your videos! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for this video! I didn't realize the Snappy House mod was that flexible. I've only been using the prefabs tab. This house build would look awesome with a bunch of variations as a Spectacle Island seaside fishing town. ++100 likes++
Nice build do you think you could do a 2 or 3 story version? Like bottom could be shops and the top living quarters like in the real would? I think I might give it a go I’m getting back in to fallout atm.
I have a question based on the fact I have not yet played the game: Do other Sanctuary inhabitants understand it is YOUR home? Or can you find them from your bed when you return home for a night from a long, arduous adventure? Can you find out they have taken everything from your stash?
This is truly well done. Hats off dude. How did you scrap that house though? I could only scrap the houses that were so destroyed you couldn't go inside. Is that part of the mod?
Thanks man! And to scrap the house I used a scrapping mod called Scrap Fallout. There are a few similar to it such as Scrap that Settlement and Clean the Commonwealth for PS4 and Xbox
Nice build, now I gotta rethink all my builds. For me personally I’m not sure I want to put in so much work for groups of whiny settlers that can’t even figure out how to sleep in empty, available beds without being commanded to do so. There’s probably a mod that makes settlers less useless eh.
That first house let you select it, as if you were able to scrap it. Is there a mod that lets you scrap all or most of the sanctuary houses? I have scrap that settlement for PS4, but you can't scrap the non-junk houses. I'm saving for an Xbox one x just to be able to do more with settlements.
Looks great, and far more realistic than a forking shack. Seriously, 200 years after an apocalypse, we should be seeing a lot of row houses, maybe Southern-style shotgun houses, perhaps railroad apartments for heavily populated areas, etc. That, or a crap load of A-frame houses, which are stupidly simple to put up and easily scalable besides. Am I the only one who is annoyed by the vanilla game's inability to build a realistically inhabitable structure after two centuries of recovery? Humans are stupid as heck, as demonstrated by the idiocy that led to the Great War (I'm with the Brotherhood on this), but people aren't *that* weak.
Will you ever do a full settlement here in the old world style world village? Like add a church, theatre, town hall etc in old (maybe a "mall" war style? :P
you know that's actually a really cool idea. I guess I never got around to telling the idea i have for Sanctuary. But yeah, I definitely want to do something like that. Thanks for the idea!
@@CordlessVII how about some high density housing, like row houses or railroad apartments? Big houses like the video are great, but high density is going to be needed to truly grow a community.
Great informative vid. ive had alot of issues in building houses to have shape matching roofs with odd size houses. Maybe theres something im not understanding. 🤔 Either way, again, great informative vid. i will diff be adding that mod to my game to help in building house and etc. Cheers! 👍😎
Sanctuary remade using your build would be nice. Also, being able to lock out NPCs would be nice, but so far locking the door does not prevent NPCs from *sleeping in my bed.* [ref. Goldilocks and the Three Bears]
I don't know if you've been able to figure this out already, but you can assign where your NPCs sleep in your town. I created a nice town in my red rocket station where I had my defenders all sleep at the top of the station in their own rooms and houses, and my gardeners slept in a sleeping area near the garden. To make sure they go to their bed, you can skip to when it's bedtime and watch them walk towards the beds you assigned. I hope this helps... if you haven't already figured.
I rarely experience it crashing. If I have too many mods affecting my workshop, sometimes menus won't show. Rearranging your load order can fix that. And yeah I'll check out some of your stuff!
I want a mod that adds more particle effects to interiors of houses and general atmosphere to the game, also adding more shadows to furniture that can be placed down
Awesome as usually! Love the details and the interiour! But it annoys my little ocd that the windows are "floating" around. Seem I need to make wallpapers for the interior doorways right? ;) The weird collision is because I couldn't make collisions back then. Now I can.
