Odd that you don't mention cloud object stores. As per the Delta Lake whitepaper: "we present Delta Lake, an open source ACID table storage layer over cloud object stores initially developed at Databricks. Delta Lake uses a transaction log that is compacted into Apache Parquet format to provide ACID properties, time travel, and significantly faster metadata operations for large tabular datasets"
1:26 the storage we talk about here has container storage which is where delta tables can be stored with the underlying parquet and json delta logs This is one of the most popular implementations of working with delta lake in Azure.
