Why didn't you ever show us the hex lights in action? What angle where you pointing them? At the dance floor, the walls, the roof? Inquiring minds need to know.
Very cool color on wash lights. I absolutely agree of not using dmx, wash lights do what their made to do. Hope you do a video on painting process of wash lights. Thanks👍
Very impressed with everything you’ve talked about. I was actually going for the wash lighting myself because I want to downgrade my lighting system. I stumbled upon your video and I am now subscribing to your channel. Look forward to more DIY videos. Very impressed! Thanks again. -djmike 🎤
Well you can contact Chauvet = and get another bonus. I just ordered my 2 each Chauvet Wash Hex lights = and I love them. I am presently gonna DMX program them tonight. I will use them with my ADJ element hex uplight's. I will eventually paint them white. Thanks for all of the good information your putting out.
Love the creativity…have you thought about using soundswitch with the wash fx ? Might provide a better quality light show Also what laptop are you using and is it stable enough using it in tablet mode ? VDJ right ?
Looks exactly like I would like to do this year. Thank you. How do you have the lights positioned? What can you tell me about not having them in peoples eyes? Lighting is new to me and I appreciate any comments
Not sure if not using DMX would be effective because correct me if im wrong but isn’t the IR sensor on the front of the wash fx? I know when I first got mine I had them setup the same way you do in this video with the donner transmitter on one light and the receiver on the other, but when I used the remote to change them I discovered that I had to be front of the light to have it respond to the remote and who wants to have to do that every time when you just want to change the color or the fade speed for instance. Unless im missing something that’s why I moved to dmx to control my wash fx
@@djtravismcguire could maybe in one of your next videos you show how you control the lights with the remote? I might go the same route just trade in my wash fx2s and myDMX Go for a pair of the Hex
Question: If I buy the new Chauvet Wash Hex lights; What's the best way to control the new lights? Use the IR Sensor to control them? = or go on and program them into my already DMX system of ADJ Hex Uplights? I would definilty use the new Chauvet Wash Hex Lights to replace my ADJ moving heads; to save time and faster set-up.
Right now, I'm using the IR remote to control them. Chauvet added an IR sensor to the back of the unit, as well as the front. Later on, I will be DMXing the units so I can have control over strobing, chases, etc.
I just ordered the phenyx pro mic system for ceremonies and receptions. Been hearing good things about it. I currently use shure. Would you recommend them for weddings and ceremonies. What’s your experience been with them?
Hi just bought these fixtures. Trying to figure out what type of mounting bracket you used to set them atop of your totems. Did you use a bolt or some sort of screw. Please let me know I’m struggling with this
Yes. The Wash FX Hex has a IR sensor in the back of the unit, so they can be easily controlled with the Chauvet remote. However, I have since gone back to DMX.
There is a hole in the top for the speaker pole abapter. I went & bought two washers and I mount the lights with the speaker pole adapter, but where the adapter is inside the totem.
Not yet. When I bought the 28's, they had been out for a while so they were truly tested for a while. The 44's hit the market in April/May of 2020 (terrible timing). So not a lot of people were able to get them because none of us were working. I'm thinking about getting them, but I'm waiting on Barr's, Webb's, & Book's review on them before I dump over $5,000 on speakers. LOL

Very smart! Love the painting of the lights. They should make a lot more things in all white for us wedding DJs. As always, a beautiful setup.
Love those lights and love how you painted them!! Awesome video!!

DOPE AS ALWAYS BROTHER!!!! Keep up the great work!
Can you make a video on steps on how to paint the wash hex?
Love the creativity…have you thought about using soundswitch with the wash fx ? Might provide a better quality light show
Also what laptop are you using and is it stable enough using it in tablet mode ? VDJ right ?
I'm using an Onn 13.1 inch convertible laptop. I have disabled tablet mode so it still runs normally.
I don't see that facebook group but could you put a link to how we can get those done in white? They look amazing
Beauty set up , and love washing Dance 💃 floor ,,

Looks amazing bro my setup s all white I painted all my speakers and I got 4 adj 4z white edition
Love the white paint job. Do you find older folks complain about the bright wash in their eyes? I have using these same lights.
I haven't come across that yet. Those are also pointed more upward than they are forward, so it's not so intense to the guests.

Did you dmx them and is there a video update on them? Is the remote you using the one that comes with them.or the premium one they sell?

Make a video detailing how ya did it
Great setup. Where did you get the white wash lights from? Looks great in white.
These lights have white built in chauvet washt fx hex
He painted them himself
What totem are the lights on?
do you have a link for the painting of the lights
Unfortunately, I shot it but all of the video files were corrupted.
Hi, if not using dmx how are you controlling the lights? You just using sound activated mode?
Yes. The Wash FX Hex has a IR sensor in the back of the unit, so they can be easily controlled with the Chauvet remote. However, I have since gone back to DMX.

Hello Travis, Any regrets on buying the LD MAUI 28 G2 vs. the LD MAUI 44 G2?

@@djtravismcguire Yes = I agree. The LD MAUI 44 G2 = are definially gonna be heavy; to haul around. Steve
Did you not get any complaints regarding the brightness of these wash fx Hex?? Is there a way to turn down the brightness?
You can turn down brightness
What do you do for slow songs. Hope you don’t just leave the lights going nuts. Lol
I put them into a slow color fade for slow songs.
hey , are your lights stilling working after painting them?
They are doing great. Admittedly, I have not used them since June though because I switched some stuff up.
Why do people drink while theyre dancing.
Not sure all that effort worth it for what looks like an old peoples home event, they look so boringL
