Most people in general society aren't really interested in music,
.. they're listening for familiar and safe,
they dont often like "different/unique"
I could literally take some brown noise loop audio, add in a droning "boom boom boom boom boom" bass drum and someone mumbling in the background, and society would be rocking to it..
So many bands are formed by people who learn to play instruments, and then go with the "familiar and safe" route to hopefully sell and make money.
Very few are actually interested in, or know how to create actual music or anything interesting or unique,
They simply regurgitate sounds and images

I watch these roasting vids even if I can't relate to the music, coz I'm drawn to Rudy's eloquence. Speaking succinctly is hard for me, so I'm always impressed by people who can!! Also, I enjoy the interesting 'breaks' within the video - like it's either Larry paying a visit, or a peppering of fun accents! And none of those are disruptive to a viewer's train of thought, so that's really good communication skills!! Rudy Habibi, you're a natural at this!! 😊
P.S. I always admire how neat the room is! I have OCD, so a clean room is more than just aesthetically pleasing - it's de-stressing.

it was similar to pieces i was writing back in the early 90s here and there, which my band was having none of.
But after their 3rd song released i was completely bored with it, it all aounds like the same song..

Why don’t you listen to some jazz either classic like Sonny Rollins or avant-garde like Sun Ra? You’ll hear some rhythms, and counterpoints you’ve never heard before and also some really talented composers trying to work out interesting ideas. So few of the bands featured here are trying to work out anything other than their 90s haircuts.

Kriah is the musical equivalent of your hmar shirt, ruby. fabric looks so thin as it had been washed a gazillion times, the size of the print is too big to look like a brand but too small to be considered a motive, the fact that is an even number of symbols below the words makes me want to rip my eyes out and the rolled up sleeves are the tremolo picking - shit sprinkles - cherry on top. who sells this?
