What a great document of a great band, this line up is spot on... Carla, Charlie and Don, Dewey, Michael and Paul are on the original recording. Big Love🤎
i'm glad to hear. that's why i'm doing this. i only have a small handful left, so the party is gonna be over soon. then i'm gonna go back to just posting my (and my friend's) bands' videos. i'm actually kinda looking forward to see how fast the subscriber count drops....
so happy to have found this!!! there's full audio at ua-cam.com/video/4LhbMQ2smeg/v-deo.html .... interesting combo of carla's guys (valente, sleagle) and charlie's. i read in an interview w carla that charlie didn't like valente's playing (too loud) and later made an effort to keep the 2 bands separate (except for her, of course)
I asked my self also- but they leave au the end - and they were not Côme back,, on tv, this was it. - Don Cherry wear a cravatte for the show. ,,, sound short indeed ,,, but the German tv in 82 was better than french … and also a this time , there was strange relations , beetween US , With missiles ans Russia ,,l libération Orchestra came to give a signal , good signal , for the Berliner ,,, the wall was stil there …
Around 6 mins (before and after) they are basically playing (Coltrane's) "Olé" - which presumably means they are *actually* playing the Spanish folk song "El Vito", right..? Anyone confirm? Thanks for another excellent video 😎
yes, that's correct, but the connection is the Spanish folk song, as LMO did a medley of Spanish civil war songs on 1st recording in 1970 (see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberation_Music_Orchestra_(album))

Paul Motian at 13:22..."man this is good".
Thanks again Jay!
Jay, many, many thanks for this. Keep them coming, but, where, do you come across such gems? Best. Roy Wilbraham
Amazing, even if for Cherry alone, he was my door to this kind of music and i'll always love him.
WHAT?!? Oh my goodness!

28:56 Slagle looking at Cherry for a cue🤣I'm guessing Cherry was given seniority on this tune, at least.
Tremendous
👍👏👏👏👏👏👍👍
So nice of Don to join the band about 20 minutes in. Did he have to go put money in the meter or what?
That's the stupidest comment i think ive ever read.
Thank you! Where do you find all the videos?
