The main is from a compac suncat 17, jib has been replaced with a Catalina 14.2 roller furling and the front sail was from a thrift shop and has been recut for the boat. He has since added a top sail he sewed himself.
The original length was 17 feet but he added a 3 foot extension to the transom. It doesn’t affect the loa while sitting flat in the water but does lengthen when healed over.
Damn, what a beautiful boat!
Buddy built a nice boat. It took him a year to build. It was really cool getting to go sailing on it.
Beautiful boat doing it well. Thanks for posting.
Sails on Christmas Bay. Now, that's an uncommon. Nice boat.👍
I would have to say our group were the only ones out there. Thank you
What a wonderful boat! Congratulations!!!!
He did a great job building it.
Love it! Carry the sail area low and spread out. The Gaff way!
Beautiful
Buddy has built a beautiful boat for sure.
Looks like a great sail.
She sails flat and fast!
Excellent.
He did a great job on this boat. It will probably be the queen of the Texas 200 fleet.
Brilliant ❤
That thing looks like great fun! What are the sails from?
