just to add notes, Allah already forgive Prophet Adam as soon as he repent. And whether he ate the fruit or not, it was Allah's plan to send him to earth as vicegerent. So he's not sent to earth because he sinned.
Hey I'm just going to share what I learned from Nouman ali khan. Please forgive me if I say something wrong in my explanation also correct me if I misinterpreted Nouman ali khan's lecs. He said that Prophet Adam pbuh wasn't sent on this earth as a punishment. And it wasn't just 1 whisper of shaytan thay led him to eat that apple. Allah commanded , "do not go near that tree" but iblis didn't initially say that go eat from that tree...he said, go this way go that way etc to get him close to that tree and then he swore that he cares for them and that they should eat that apple. It happened by iblis's multiple whispers and his fake care he showed. Prophet Adam pbuh wasn't disobedient to Allah from the very start that he agreed to iblis immediately. Also the earth was already made and Prophet Adam was already decided to be placed on this earth so sooner or later he would have to leave Jannah and be placed on earth bcz Allah before creating him announced that he's going to place a khalifa on earth due to which iblis got jeleous. Now that Prophet Adam pbuh realized that he made a mistake and then he sought forgiveness from Allah, now he was ready to be placed on earth. Allah forgave him immediately before even sending him to earth but Allah wanted him to learn first what should we do if we make mistakes. Prophet Adam pbuh learned to repent and now he was ready for this earth bcz we are going to make a lot of mistakes and we must remember that Allah is forgiving..he will forgive us
