30 minutes of this tutorial and I was able to finally implement the typeorm in my nestjs backend. The explanation is very simple to understand. Thank you, very much!
@ansonthedev thanks for this tutorial, I 've been a laravel developer for 6 years and going through your Nes'tJS tutorials have been a breeze, Thank you again!!!
Hey Anson, I'm really enjoying your NestJS tutorials, I can't find many videos with similar quality. So far you've been able to explain how to best use Nest in many contexts, I've already watched how you implemented it with Mongoose and MongoDB, and after this I'll watch how to implement GraphQL. You are great, thank you for your work and your content. 💯
WIthout a doubt the best guide videos on UA-cam. I have watched many other content creators and tried to follow along, none offer explanations like this guy. If i ever get good enough to earn a living doing this, it would be, to a large extent, due to these videos.
Anson, your way of teaching and explaining core concepts is amazing. if youtube has million thumbs up option then Definitly i will give you millions of thumbs up. Just keep it up. Also did subscribe your channel
Thanks for sharing, I have one question. How can I call stored procedures instead of using entities. I have developed the database and its procedures first. Now I want to call those stored procedures using nestjs. any help please. Thanks and regards.
please add time stamps, i use your video as a reference and it is always difficult to look for what i want, please add time stamps, thanks for your amazing work👊💪
hi, can we achieve one-to-many/many-to-one relation using TypeORM: select table1.*, table2.* from table1 left join table2 on table1.pk_id=table2.fk_id and table1.status=1 , here main concern is to join table with multiple condition , thanks
I am pretty sure, it's bad sql practice (according to conventions) to use pluralized names for tables, but it won't make your application crash, so seems good 👌😂
Followed it 1:1 and when trying to use postman I get MySQL DB error "QueryFailedError: Field 'username' doesn't have a default value". I send both username and password and Postman returns 201 but nothings get written into db. Can't run POST in Postman again due to "Error: socket hang up" and have to restart the whole nest so its hard to debug. Any ideas whats wrong? Im sending username/password in Postman properly but it tries to save DEFAULT values into the db. [SOLVED] Data type in Postman was set to "raw" but dropdown next to it was set to "text" instead of "JSON" :) So basically POSTMAN was sending data in a wrong format. All good, thank you for a great tutorial.
GREAT contents!!!! Thank you so much!! I have a question. How can I create save a POST array of images upload to amazon S3 into MYSQL images table? How would the Repository file look like? I had something going on, but my issue is, whenever I upload like 2 images it saves the first image twice in my DB. I'm tried images.forEach() and images.map(). still the same issue. Your example on here talked about "post" and that's a POST object, but my case is POST array.
Hi Brother , your video is very great and is easy to understand. But I encountered a huge issue when running POST request. It was the very first request at 30:54 of video . Please help me provoiding any suggestion to fix error below as I could not find solution at all. /Users/aashishsapkota/Desktop/nestjs-mysql/src/driver/mysql/MysqlQueryRunner.ts:222 new QueryFailedError(query, parameters, err), ^ QueryFailedError: Field 'username' doesn't have a default value I even tried setting default value to null in our entities but that would only push null username and password. Even if I provided new one. I also tried disabling safe mode but that did not worked at all . I know you might be busy but I could really appreciate your help on this if possible.
Really enjoying this whole NestJS playlist, thank you for making it! I've found in the docs that for the "createdAt" we can use @CreateDateColumn() createdAt: Date;

Great content but how would we add relations in find one by and then pass the id so that we could get a specific user ? :)
fetchUserById(id: number) {
return this.userRepository.find({
where: { id },
relations: {
profile: true,
},
});
}
Can you share a link to the resource for using typeorm please?
Thank you !!!!!!
Can't the TypeORM CLI create the database? Sorta like sequelize migrate db:drop?
