I think a good way to ask the question is, how does someone whose home is in heaven relate to someone who is of this world? We as Christians have eyes that see and ears that hear, so we cannot simply give scripture as a response since the word of God is folly the lost. We first need to understand the person we are speaking to, what is it in their life that is influencing how they see things? To what question are they seeking the answer? What trial or disruption in their life is causing them to seek answers? These are the things we need to know before we can lead them towards God's word without alienating them in the process. Then it may not be scripture, it may just be a common sense response from a Godly perspective. Pride is a powerful handicap. Before I was saved I didn't want someone to give me an answer so much as help me figure out the answer on my own. Just remember you are not so much speaking to someone in a different language as someone from a different world.
@@juancruz5132 No. It was meant to say that Calvinists distort the word to fit their narrative. Those that follow Calvinist 'teachers' are lazy or have a comprehension deficit.
@@itlupe I'd encourage you to read some of his stuff. He's very committed to the sufficiency, authority, and necessity of the Scriptures. He just came out with a shorter book called 'Concise Systematic Theology' that might help clarify his commitment to the Bible as the Word of God.
@@itlupeCalvinists gave you the Bible in your own language if it weren’t for the Reformers(all of them believed in predestination), the world would still be under the shackles of Papism.
@@YourBoyJohnny94 Nonsense. The Bible came from God (dictated by God penned by man). Calvin came along and conflated the Roman Cult Church with Eph 2 and tried to say it was HIS ideology that was correct true believers were ignorant heathens. He burned 50+ people at the stake. Murdered because HE said they were heathens. It's in the history books bucko. Look it up.
