    The RC load for a diode envelope detector consists of a 1000 pF capacitor in parallel with a 10-K resistor. Calculate the maximum modulation depth that can be handled for sinusoidal modulation at a frequency of 10 KHz if diagonal peak clipping is to be avoided.

    Sir, the negative cycle clipping can only occur if modulation index is over 1, right? so in normal case that cant happen

    AM signal is sinusoidal in nature and capacitor acts as a short circuit for ac....so how will the capacitor gets charged? And generally dc is used to charge the capacitor.

      Capacitor charging and discharging is based on charging and discharging time constant. It is not based on DC.

    Suppose, if two wireless signal 950MHz & 1800MHz are passing through this circuit at same time with amplitude of 0 dBm & 5dBm then how it will flow through the detector and what power & frequency we will be seeing at the output
