- “Your Cries Have Awoken The Master” cover. Daddy said that he woke up yesterday morning around 5 am while he was still in the hospital singing this song over and over in his head. God hears our cries. He hears the loudest of our cries that we may shout from the tops of the mountains. He hears the cries that are only a whisper and he hears the cries that we silently pray to him, the cries that no one hears but us and God. He hears them all. What a wonderful God he have.

Just diagnosed with recurrent cancer yesterday literally nowhere to turn..Noone to call and my love sent me this. I've sat and bawled this morning. Thank you.

This song and those words are what is helping me get through losing my 18 year old son who just committed suicide. Tomorrow I will be laying my baby to rest.

When I was growing up our preacher sung a song called "Thank God I've Made It" and I thought that was the most beautiful song I had ever heard UNTIL I heard this one. My gosh! It's so simple but yet so powerful. God ALWAYS hears our cries even when It feels like he's forsaken us. I've kept this song on repeat. Thank you! You have such a beautiful voice. I've been out of church for awhile now but I really think God Is speaking to me. Everywhere I've went lately I always seem to find a Gospel song on the radio or on here.

I stumbled across your videos a couple of months ago. I loved to hear you and your dad sing on the porch. Also, when joined by your brother and any others playing, you all really sounded good playing and singing together. As I learned of your father‘s illness, I prayed for him as well as you and the family. He has now received the ultimate healing. I am a minister and I would like to play one of your videos Sunday morning and have special prayer for your family. I know you miss your dad. (My dad is in the last days of his life. The doctors say he’s literally down to days). Just remember, as long as God had a purpose for your father, he did not leave this earth. But, now that his work is done, Bro. Edgar has gone to that beautiful glory land! I look forward to the day we’ll all be together there. In the meantime, Let’s praise and worship our Savior.
